What a hidden gem! I came to Ah Wang Cafe out of curiosity and left completely impressed. Tried their salted coffee—wasn't sure what to expect, but it turned out surprisingly delicious with a perfect balance of saltiness and smooth coffee aroma. The half-boiled eggs were done just right—runny, silky, and paired perfectly with a dash of soy sauce and pepper. The toasted Kahwin bread was crisp on the outside, buttery inside, with that nostalgic kaya-butter combo that hits all the right notes. And the peanut butter toast with milk? Absolutely on point—creamy, comforting, and indulgent in the best way. Definitely a spot worth returning to for a hearty local breakfast!

I prefer the normal kopi. The salted coffee is unique like caramel but it is just something new and I prefer the old coffee. Simple, clean and airy location below the apartments. Kaya toast is very crispy and best eaten when hot. It will turn soggy once cool down. Kaya is fragrant. Indeed a nice place for coffee and away from the tourist. Will come more regularly . Parking is an issue. Do park a bit further at main road and walk into the housing estate

Their coffees’ prices are on the higher end, but justified by the “kao-ness” of the coffees.

Their toasts are paired well with coffee.

Overall, a decent place to get light breakfast or afternoon tea.

If you plan to come, it’s better to come by bike. Parking is very very VERY limited.

加椰漿都是店家自製的 味道不錯 他們也有售賣加椰漿 喜歡吃的人可以買一些回去
用餐環境不錯 清潔衛生也可以 不管中午還是下午環境都不會太熱 適合聊天吹水的地方
因為是在組屋樓下的food court 所以會比較難找停車位

It’s the kind of place that takes you back to childhood breakfasts with family or slow mornings with a newspaper and coffee.

As expected, the menu is simple and straightforward. The toast is crisp with generous kaya and butter, and the soft-boiled eggs are served in the traditional style — perfect for dipping or stirring with a dash of soy sauce and white pepper. The nasi lemak comes with the essentials: sambal, peanuts, anchovies, egg, and a choice of protein, making it a decent and filling option.

- This old-school kopitiam has been dishing out comforting Hainanese-style breakfast for over 40 years. It’s the kind of place you’d miss if not for a local tip-off but once you find it, you’ll understand why it has such a loyal following. Located in the middle of apartments and probably only visited by locals.

I kicked off with their signature kaya butter toast and half-boiled eggs. Simple? Yes. But also perfect. The toast had just the right crunch, and their homemade kaya is thick, rich, and not overly sweet, truly homemade and clearly made with care. Pair that with eggs that are consistently soft-boiled (no runny mess or rubbery whites here), and you’ve got a breakfast that hits all the nostalgic notes.

Their black and white coffee are both solid picks, but what surprised me most was the Kiam Kopi (salted coffee). I was skeptical since you don't see it often around Malaysia, but it turned out to be a malty, slightly savory blend that weirdly reminded me of a mocha. Unexpected and surprisingly addictive.

It’s not your pretty multicoloured latte drinks or matcha-whatever hipster. This is pure wholesome coffee, in a kopitiam that probably your great grandpa would approve of. No frills but the Hainanese coffee slaps like you wouldn’t believe. I don’t write many reviews but this one, deserves a shout out. I will be back.

Away from the city breakfast spot. No queue, good coffee, Bengali roti is good. Parking is limited at the housing area. Do try out their white and black coffee. Salted coffee is just okay for me.
