Stayed here due to work, and to be honest, the only reason I chose this place was because it’s cheap, i mean very cheap. A single room costs less than RM30 per night. Since it was a work trip, I didn’t have any expectations for accommodation.

When I arrived, the front desk staff told me that my room had been upgraded, I had no complaints about that. However, the elevator doors closed a bit too quickly; I got caught by them twice on the way to the second floor.

Once I entered the room, I was pleasantly surprised. The overall vibe was comfortable, and most importantly, the room was very clean. The view from the window wasn’t bad either. With the air-conditioning on in the afternoon, sitting on the bed and looking out the window... it was unexpectedly peaceful and relaxing.

Highly recommended, whether you're here for work or vacation.

Hotel Review: Great Value for a Solo Work Trip

I arrived at the hotel around 11:00 PM for a work-related trip. The check-in process was smooth and efficient. I was required to pay a RM40 deposit for a towel, which had to be returned to the reception upon check-out to receive the deposit back.

The room exceeded my expectations. I got it from Trivago.com for only RM55, and to my surprise, it came with one queen bed and one single bed—very spacious for just one person. The room was clean and comfortable.

My room faced the Smokehouse and a Thai restaurant, with a partial view of the waterfront, which added to the pleasant stay. The Wi-Fi in the room was excellent, stable and fast, making it easy to get work done.

In front of the hotel, there was a washing machine, though I wasn’t sure how to operate it or whether it required payment.

Next to the hotel is Seaview Restaurant. My non-Muslim friend from Bintulu mentioned it has a great view and is quite popular, but I’m not sure about its halal status.

Overall, it was a good stay with great value for the price.
