Only 1.5 hours away from our stay in KL, we were able to nestle in lush greenery beside a beautiful river.

From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed—especially with the fantastic barbecue on the first evening, which set the tone for a wonderful stay. The food throughout was excellent and the accommodations were spotless and well-maintained.

What really made the experience special was the warm hospitality of the staff (thank you all!) - and especially the owner - who took the time for personal chats and made us feel truly at home.

If you're looking for a serene nature getaway with great food, beautiful surroundings ánd heartfelt hospitality, The Sticks is an absolute must-visit. We can't wait to return!

My family and me stayed at the Bamboo House for 2 nights; and we had a great time. We're constantly enjoying the time spent here. From the welcoming staff, to the well-maintained resort, to the amazing river, we had no complaints. Shout out to two staff, Zarul and Bobby, for being the exceptional two amongst the all-friendly staff here.||Also to highlight, Uncle Rubin, is one of the most friendly and approachable resort owner I've ever met. He ensured he greeted every guest.||A highly recommended resort for families with kids who want a different holiday from the normal beach resort; a jungle resort with The Sticks is a great place to go to.

Stayed 2 nights fullboard at Bamboo House (4pax). Breakfast, lunch, high tea and dinners were all well prepared and most delicious. Both steamboat and BBQ were well prepared.

30 minutes easy jungle trekking is wonderful and refreshing. Cool dip and swim at the river is safe and relaxing.

Fantastic attention from the host and staffs who ensure everything is well catered. Hot shower in spacious bathroom. Clean toilet at the restaurant too.
Perfect jungle environment with day bird singing and night insects sound. Suspension bridge crossing and river crossing riding on Hilux is fun and adventurous.

Firstly, many thanks to the team for welcoming us warmly. Extremely polite and top notch service.

Overall a great place to be away from daily lifestyle. Nice dip into the waterfalls, great home cooked food and extremely peaceful.

The owners, Rubin, Michelle, and their Team were friendly, efficient, attentive. Customer Service is excellent.
The environment & surrounding is pleasant and meticulously planned.

Good place to chilled out especially for those who wants to hideout from city life.

The gushing of the river creates a calming atmostphere and the lush greeneries surroundings makes it a peaceful & refreshing environment.

Excellent home cooked food. Definitely will satisfy your tummy. The steam boat was tasty, the Thai style lunch was superb and the BBQ was fantastic. Thanks to Chef Michelle and Chef Siti & Team.

Serenity at its finest. Excellent place to chill out and recharge your battery. Highly recommended for a hideout but at a home feeling. Hospitality is excellent!

My family and me stayed at the Bamboo House for two nights; and what a wonderful stay we had. From the moment we arrived until we left, we were constantly enjoying the time spent here.

From the polite and welcoming staff (shout-out to two staffs especially, Zarul and Bobby), to the well-maintained resort overall (especially our Bamboo House; even though we were in the middle of the jungle, the house is so well-maintained and sealed with the nets, that we never see a single jungle insect in the house), to the most splendid Sungai Sangloi, the resort's "swimming pool", my family really had no complaints for this place.

Thank you for the wonderful stay. And thank you for the hospitality received from The Sticks; the owner Uncle Rubin is one of the most friendly and approachable resort owner I ever met. He ensured he greeted every guest.

A highly recommended resort for families with kids who love nature, and want an alternative holiday from a beach resort [like us 🙂 ].

I stayed at The Sticks for 2 nights to celebrate my husband's birthday. I picked Riverside house as it is just next to the river and has a private staircase straight to the river and of course, it's private.
I took the surprise birthday package and it was just wonderful. We parked our car and took a 5 minute walk across the river to reach the receptionist. We were welcomed by an ever smiling staff, Zahara, who gave a very good explanation about The Sticks. I can say that all their staffs are very well trained, always with a smile and very helpful to cater all your needs, making you feel welcomed all the time.
The room decoration was very nice. I felt very close to nature, which goes well with their motto, 'Get Lost Naturally'. The candlelight dinner they arranged for us was just superb. Beautifully decorated, very romantic with nature all around. My husband was so impressed and they maintained the tradition of eating in trays and banana leaf like the old days. At the same time of being lost in nature, it brings back memories to the 70's and early 80's.
The food they served was also very nice and tasty. The breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner was superb, especially the 'goreng pisang' they served during tea time.
We enjoyed the river, the walk, the view, the time we had together. A very nice place for healing where you will also enjoy yourself doing nothing. The owner, Mrs. Michelle said, this is the place for you to enjoy nature with a bit of comfort.
Overall. we really had a good time there and for sure we will come back again. Of course there will be sound of river, rain and insects, but that is part of nature. If you love nature, this is the place you must visit.
