Really nice and comfy place. Clean room and bathroom, super friendly and helpful staff, ideal location surrounded by food. Couldn’t ask for more. I’ll certainly come back to stay again and recommend it to my friends and family.

In general, this is like an Airbnb accommodation. On the day of check in, there were just four of us, we checked in to two rooms: Zen and The Attica. Small rooms but well organized and clean up. The restaurant on ground floor is not in operation due to lack of staff. There are shops/ eateries nearby the house, there is no problem in getting a meal settled. the house is located at a junction, hence it could be a bit disturbing at night when vehicles drove by.

We enjoyed our stay in the Zen room. The room is very well kept (housekeeping standard very high) and with good natural lighting (from 2 balconies). Top notch service from Manager Gladys, smooth check in process, provided recommended places to dine and communication via watapps was speedy. Parking is available at their premise with cctv monitoring (good security). Definitely will come back here again if visiting Pontian.

My wife and our young child spent two nights here and it was really fantastic. The customer service was definitely top notch attentive and the room was exceptionally clean with its own toilet.

The room and toilet looks newly renovated and contemporary designed. Definitely out-win many short term stay old shophouse hotels in the area.

The basic stuffs you need such as tooth brushes, clean towels, laundry bag, hair dryer were all readily available. Private parking lots were ample with CCTV monitoring system. So if you are worried about security, it definitely covers your concern.

If you are a light sleeper, you may request for the room facing the inside away from the road. It was not a problem for us though.

Accessibility to food and convenience store was great. There are 2 food store directly opposite and a supermarket just 1-2 mins walk down the street.

Apart from that, I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the service provider. We received a personal WhatsApp text from the owner 5 minutes within our booking from booking website to confirm our stay with the detailed messages and instructions. There is really nothing more we can ask for with such prices.

‘Lovely place, food and architecture.’|||➕ I loved the room. The shower was fantastic, the bed was great too. I would prefer if the pillows were a bit firmer, but they were not too bad because the hotel provided extra pillows. I had nasi lemak for breakfast and it was one of the best nasi lemak I have ever tasted in the many hotels that I have stayed at. And the coffee? It was really good. Served fresh when I arrived for breakfast. I will not hesitate to stay at The Corner House on my next trip.

Nice ambience and pleasant staff at the cafe downstairs. Quiet and comfortable place to chill in this hot town. Hot chocolate and french fries could be improved. Hotel looks quaint from the outside, would love to check out the rooms, they seem affordable too.
