If you're looking for a fun day trip from Keningau, you should check out Taman Nunuk Kiporing. It's a sweet recreational spot about an 8km drive away. The trip should only take you about 12-15 minutes, but keep in mind that while most of the road is paved, the last stretch to the retreat is all dirt, dust, and gravel.

On a dry, sunny day, even a Myvi can handle it just fine. But if it's been raining, you'll definitely want a 4x4, as the road turns into a thick, muddy mess.

At Nunuk Kiporing, you'll find three swimming ponds, each a different depth. One is perfect for the little ones, another is great for just cooling off, and the deepest one is best if you can actually swim. You can even rent a big inner tube to float around on! Just remember to swim at your own risk.

You'll find clean bathrooms and toilets, which are free to use.

Besides swimming, you can also go fishing! There's a fee, but you get to keep whatever you catch. They have three dedicated fishing ponds for all you anglers.

Now, if you want to get to the river, you'll need to ask for permission from the management first. The river is a water source for the homes nearby, so they keep a close eye on who goes in.

The place can get pretty busy on weekends, public holidays, and during school breaks, so you might want to plan your visit or book ahead.

They've got a bunch of other stuff, too:
* Rooms for rent with a queen-sized bed and a private bathroom.
* A surau for prayer.
* Nine small, open-air huts with a sink and barbecue spot.
* A campsite if you want to spend the night in nature.

The whole area is super well-maintained and clean. There’s even a canteen where you can grab snacks and drinks. You'll see signs and rules all over the place, which you absolutely have to read and follow to stay safe.

Oh, and there’s a pond with a cool-looking fiberglass boat, but we're not sure if it's for guests to use or just for maintenance. The whole park is still being developed, so expect to see more cool stuff in the future!

great place! like the hill view, clean place and love the scenary...you can do lot of activity like fishing, hiking, swimming, camping overnight,bbq.family friendly.monly the road to go there is a bit "off road"..can use small car but not lowerd..better use 4 x 4..
