Nice experience here , donnow how to describe the experience having dinner , supper and breakfast at the highest restaurant in malaysia , view is superb. After a tiring climb , presented with a beautiful view and having a delicious buffet dinner and take my cold shower make me fell comfortable sleep to get up early in the next morning to make another climb for the summit .

Our group of 8 climbers from Taiwan stayed at the lodge on 1 October, and it was such a wonderful experience! After walking in the rain for the last 2 km, we were greeted with a hot towel and a cup of ginger tea — honestly the best thing ever after that cold, wet hike.||The restaurant/cafeteria was clean, cozy, and had a really nice atmosphere with soft music playing in the background. It felt warm and relaxing — just what every tired climber needs after the first day’s hike. It’s the perfect place to unwind, enjoy a hot meal, and get ready for the next day’s climb to the summit.||Truly, this is the best mountain teahouse we’ve ever stepped into. Thank you to the team for the warm hospitality and for making our stay such a memorable part of our Mount Kinabalu journey!

The one and only lodge at Panalaban has good facilities and good food. The management needs to upgrade the room heating or the water heater facilities, as it is too cold to sleep! (Haha! / It was a challenge!) The experience is very challenging when the weather is not good. I would suggest installing solar panels for the electricity supply.

Slept in Laban Rata and booked a 2 person room with shower (only cold water). I think this was the expensive fancy option when booking the 2D1N climb to Low's Peak of Mount Kinabalu. Was very satisfied. All the food is also very well arranged: breakfasts, lunches, dinners, everything you need for the climb.

Tip: You can choose to not bring warm clothes for the night climb to the peak: they actually sell wool hats, warm pants, shirts and rain jackets and night lamps for normal prices (I dont remember but I think like 50MR for a shirt). You have to carry it down again (or leave it), but it saves weight on day 1 and might be worth it...

爬山能有這麼舒適的房間還有五星級餐食可以享用，真的再累也願意爬上去😁，雖然浴廁少了有熱呼呼的熱水可以洗個臉，但以在高山上的克難情況，這樣的山屋品質算是非常的優質了....讚啦！👍

The more luxurious accommodation available, but mostly sharing rooms and bunk beds.

Bring ear plugs as sharing the room with someone who snores may affect your energy for the next day’s climb.

Electricity is limited, there is NO water heating.
Charging of devices are limited to certain times.
All toilets have Bidets, there are 2 shared showering facilities for the men. The water is too cold to wash your hair.

The ambient temperature at this height is 10-15 deg Celsius and is very chilly especially in the morning and in the rain, people are dressed in jackets and fleece at this altitude.

The linen is clean and towels are provided.
Supper prior to summiting is 2:00am.

Water is not potable you would have to get it from the UV treated tap which is rather slow. Everything else sold there is mostly in cash and priced higher than normal as everything is carried up.

Would advice a 2 night itinerary for more rest before going down from panalaban.

超高級的山屋！房間很整潔，食物也很好吃～可以洗澡但是只有冷水也沒有吹風機～所以我就沒洗了😆廁所很乾淨而且完全沒味道～床是上下舖，一間有四個床位，我們這間剛好沒有其他人～整體環境很好，神山也超漂亮😻

Mountain-hut style accommodation-Great base camp for the ascent to Mt Kinabalu. Accommodations and services are reasonable given the remote location at 10,000 ft, only reachable by foot. Porters bring food and supplies up everyday as huge loads on their back-a 6000 ft steep climb in just 3.5 miles. When crowded, dinner service gets pretty messy with long poorly organized lines and very crowded dining area. Food buffet provides abundant quantities and a few meat and vegetarian choices.
