A Review of Sunway Sanctuary – A Senior Living Wellness Center

Having spent over two weeks at Sunway Sanctuary, I am delighted to share my experience:

The daily activities designed specifically for seniors, including those in wheelchairs, are truly amazing. From lively jamming sessions to invigorating morning exercises, the programs are thoughtfully curated to promote wellness, engagement, and enjoyment for everyone.

The facilities at Sunway Sanctuary are nothing short of extraordinary, exceeding the standards of even the finest 5-star global hotels. Every detail is carefully crafted to provide luxury, comfort, and accessibility for seniors.

3. Comprehensive Assisted Living Support
The assisted living package has been a lifesaver, offering invaluable support through an experienced team of dedicated and compassionate nurses. Their professionalism and attentiveness ensure that every resident receives personalized care tailored to their unique needs.

4. Proactive and Committed Management Team
The management team stands out for being great listeners, showing a genuine commitment to enhancing and improving the experience for residents. When “stress tests” were conducted and feedback provided, they embraced the input with an open mind. As the saying goes, “it is always work in progress,” and this mindset has driven constant refinements during our stay.

In conclusion, Sunway Sanctuary offers a holistic and premium senior living experience, seamlessly combining wellness, luxury, and care in a supportive community. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a place that truly understands the needs of seniors.

This is by far the best recovery stay I have and will ever experienced! Even though this was open for senior citizens/retiree/confinement, there was also a package for orthopaedic recovery patient who needed a place to have a peaceful mind while recovering.

I stayed here for 2 weeks package but extended another week because that’s how much I love it.

Engaging? Any Activities? Yes and yes. There are activities everyday. From morning one hour exercises, to activities like games or movies or even jamming sessions where residence can gather together to just have fun and enjoy the moment.

It’s a community on its own for people who don’t want to be alone, there will be great staff and folks befriending you. It’s very welcoming and wonderful to see there are still kind hearted people in this world.

The facilities are just enough to entertain any residence there. Facilities like community rooms, karaoke lounge, swimming pool, billiard room, games room, mini theatre, library and wellness centre.

24/7 nurses/assistant when needed. On-call doctor in the building or you can head directly to Sunway Medical Centre which is just a walk away. If you need groceries or shopping centre, Sunway Geo is right opposite or take the BRT to Sunway Pyramid. The design of this stay is so convenient.

We stayed there for a month after surgery and also with a view of trying out for retirement.
Everything was good esp easy access for followup checkups.
However, the food was rather boring for us after a while. Perhaps, they have many constraints. Better not to opt for full board.
The other issue is the dust and noise from the construction across the road.
The senior person who showed us around enthusiastically and signed us up initially, seemed to not recognise us after we moved in. Strange marketing? But on the whole, staff were friendly and helpful.
The other thing missing for retirement living or recuperation besides fresh air is lack of a good path for walking.

As I injured my knee, I have booked this hotel due to its friendly facilities which could faciliate my physio exercises. The place was great, love the swimming pool that is heated, the gym facilities. Breakfast was average and we tasted interesting fish luncheon meat.
