Sip & Chill Cafe has a cozy ambiance, but unfortunately, the food and drinks don’t quite live up to expectations.

Pros:

✅ Good Service – The staff are friendly and attentive, making the dining experience pleasant.

Cons:

🔹 Small Portions – For the price, the portion sizes feel a bit stingy, making it less value for money.
🔹 Average Taste – The food didn’t meet expectations in terms of flavor.
🔹 Drinks Need Improvement – The drinks are quite ordinary and could use some enhancement in taste and variety.

Overall, while the service is good, the food and drinks could be improved to make the experience more satisfying. Hopefully, with some adjustments, Sip & Chill Cafe can better match its price point with quality and portion sizes.

We had the noodles with minced pork and lard, kaya and butter toast as well as toast with egg. In all fairness, food was decent. Noodles were a little lacking in flavour and could be more al dente, although that may be intentional if the establishment mainly caters to older folks. Toast was pretty good. Drinks (iced coffee and teh tarik) were also good.

What needs to be improved : We arrived at 9am (official business hours starts at 9:00am) but the gate remained locked until 9:05am, and even then we were told the chef was not in yet. Personally, I would rather the shop commit to opening at a later time if they're struggling to open punctually ; maybe open at 10am instead of 9am, but ensure that the floor and kitchen staff are fully ready to serve and not make excuses like they're too busy, when we're the only table in the shop.

After browsing through the famous restaurants around town in ipoh, looking for a place to have lunch on a Sunday afternoon, we sauntered upon this quant and lovely establishment.
The food was delicious, and drinks were refreshing and not too sweet and the service was top notch. The owner was a kind old man who explains each dish from the heart. The atmosphere felt more like having lunch at your uncle's place, instead of a commercialized restaurant.

We ordered herbal chicken with golden noodles, chicken chop with mushroom sauce, and the famous Mr Black and Ms White drinks which came up to around rm64, a fairly decent price. Would recommend this place to anyone wanting a peaceful meal.

A nice neighbourhood cafe which served healthy 5 grains rice dishes meal, with delicious belacan minced meat and pork ribs with black vinegar. My dad ordered the chicken chop with mushroom sauce. It was sufficient for him with his smaller appetite. My mom had a simple char siew pao and it was good and she liked it.

It’s a local normal cafe. We ordered noodles soup with dumpling and golden silk noodle. Highly recommended. The noodles is cooked just nice in terms of tenderness texture. We also order the combo set of black local coffee, 2 half boiled eggs & baked bread with kaya/butter. The taste is normal but good to eat. The coffee is taste good though. A bit of my 2 cents of view for handmade pork dumpling, it is a bit over cooked and lack of moisture. It will be better if serve in soup. When serve the dumplings is a bit lack of warmth. However, the ambience is cozy and clean.

Food and drinks still taste pretty good. The menu has extended slightly. Like the fact that you can choose your dishes to go with rice or noodles as they are separated except for the HK style noodle and Old Days fried beehoon. Tried their new Mixu Desu drink today, nice. Service is fast and good too

Had a pleasant experience dining here. The restaurant is hidden away from the usual crowded spot yet very cozy. Warm service with delicious fuss-free home made food. We especially enjoyed our herbal chicken with mee sua and the chicken curry with multi grain rice was delicious too.

We also order the matcha black coffee and matcha white coffee which were surprisingly good! Definitely coming back for other dishes on the menu.

Service is good but choices of food still not many (yet) as newly open. I love their wooden tables and chairs.

Update:
Been there for few times and they had few more choices of food and all of them taste good. Their dumplings really very good. I had their dumpling with homemade noodles soup. Taste simple but very good. Love it.
Other than that, their dates tea was good. It’s not come in tea pack but they literally boil the dates.
Increase 2 star for them 👏🏻👏🏻
