overall, it was an nice stay, clean room and accessible shared pantry & hangout space.

however, i requested for a quiet room but only to be placed at the very ground floor room near the entry. the sound insulation was very bad, i could hear the passkey noises coming from the entrance and vacuum noises .

i also hope the housekeeper staff were more attentive to the housekeeping rules cause they kept chatting so loudly at the living room space. i couldn’t get to take a nap cause they’re talking so loudly. it’s also not very nice to see them smoking at the front porch.

if you’re not a light sleeper and don’t mind much about noises, it’s a pleasant retreat.

We had a wonderful 3 days and 2 nights stay in Simple Sanctuary! The room and bathroom are so spacious and clean. It gives a cozy and comfortable atmosphere and we had very good rest during our stay. Their service was also tip top. I would definitely recommend it to my friends who are looking for a comfortable stay in Penang. Would come back again! Thanks!

Quite comfortable stay. Just that there's lots of insects and annoying at night. My room was at ground floor, sound insulation is not that good. Can hear people pressing the password. There were alot of children playing and run here and there. This stay comes with a kitchen for people to cook, there's also fridge and cutleries. Water dispenser also provided but don't have hot water, the people said the water dispenser not yet service. So we can only drink cold water.
There's alot of monkey in the evening, but they don't attack people. Also they have rooftop for people to sit and chat, nice view also.

Btw overall is ok for me, comfortable and clean. Hope that they can change the car porch flooring, we drive up after rain, it is very slippery until our car almost slip down, difficult to go up.

I had a wonderful stay at Simple Sanctury! It truly felt like home—clean, cozy, and comfortable. The host provided instant noodles, snacks, instant coffee, and milk tea, which was a lovely touch. The fully equipped kitchen made it easy to cook my own meals. I also loved the beautifully prepared Chinese tea set. The rooftop was perfect for relaxing, with a nice breeze and stunning views. I stayed here for a total of one night while visiting a friend. The team was so wonderful and showed great hospitality standards. They were kind enough to provide me with complimentary early check in and late check out which was very helpful. Overall my stay was perfect, cleanliness was tip top and everything was up to perfection. Would definitely stay again, and will definitely recommend to anyone searching for a nice place to stay while in penang. This quality for the price is crazy good. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and beautifully designed with a minimalist yet cozy aesthetic. The two large beds were incredibly comfortable. I also loved the thoughtful touches like the wooden furniture and the small tea table. What made the stay even better was the range of amenities provided. They had toiletries, towels, and even complimentary tea, coffee, instant noodles, biscuits and titbits to enhance the experience.

Everything was spotless, and the attention to detail—from the cozy tatami seating to the well-maintained common areas—made the experience even better. The location was convenient, and the peaceful environment made it a perfect retreat after exploring the city.

Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a comfortable and stylish stay in Penang. I’ll definitely be back!
