The only restaurant nearby Japanese garden with a nice view surrounded by the forest. Rustic, cozy and serene. The restaurant can be quite crowded during peak hours.

The menu here is quite limited, not much choices available. The price is also on the high side, and the taste is average. We had the chicken curry, the food portion is just right, but curry feels lacking.

The place is operational as of the date I’m writing this review. It boasts stunning scenery with a beautifully maintained landscape, and the food is absolutely perfect. However, the slow service is a drawback. Improving this aspect would make the experience even better. Also, you’ll need to climb some stairs and walk a bit to reach the location, which may not be convenient for everyone.

They're back!! Such a great place to have japanese meal, if you have binoculars, may even birdwatching while enjoying your meal. And the food is good too. I'd say is worth to stop by if you're in the area.

The only dining place at the Japanese Village in Bukit Tinggi, it's a good spot for a freshly prepared hot meal and to take refuge from the midday sun with some ice-cold green tea. With a very limited bento set menu available, I had to manage my expectations (yes, the place is pretty remote). Surprisingly, the food was decent for its price - on par with KL, generous portion size. My only complaints are that the interior of the restaurant looks rather spartan and sterile and can get quite warm on a hot day with only wall-mounted fans, while service levels have room for improvement to what I'm accustomed to back in the city. Overall, a 3-star rating is befitting for a slightly above-average experience.

They seem to be closed for a few months in 2024, and when visited again in July, still closed. I come up here a lot, and this time, the main gate to the Japanese garden was open. But the restaurant is still closed. I've eaten here a few times from way back 15 years ago, and even a few years back. it's quite decent cause the entire atmosphere is unique. When it's open, there's a lot of tourist here, local ones especially.

The place is really good, deep within the woods has its own aesthetic to it. The food is also pretty okay, averagely priced. The miso soup wasn’t fresh. Everything else we got was really good and fresh and the portions are also really great.
