I had mixed feelings about my experience with Rubysha Confinement Centre.
While the therapists who attended to me were good at their job, my overall experience was affected by the managing director’s attitude and poor communication skills.
Positives
✅ The therapists were skilled and professional. They incorporated both traditional and modern methods in their care, which was a nice touch.
✅ The managing director does offer Zoom meetings to explain their services, terms, and conditions before you sign up, which is helpful.

Negatives
❌ The managing director decides on the timing, which was stated in the terms and conditions. But her timings are often inconvenient and late mornings towards afternoon.
❌ The services felt rushed. While the therapists were good, they seemed to be in a hurry when carrying out the treatments.
❌ The managing director was difficult to deal with. She was arrogant, defensive, and not open to feedback. Instead of listening, she kept twisting the situation to make it seem like we were the problematic ones.
❌ When we shared our feedback, her first response was, “Do you have CCTV footage?” – instead of simply addressing our concerns.
❌ My mother, who has experience raising three grandchildren, shared some insights, but the managing director immediately dismissed her, saying she had dealt with 1,000 babies and was confident in her products and services.
❌ Even after we repeatedly clarified that we had no issues with the therapists (only that they worked too fast), she remained defensive and tried to shift the blame onto us.
❌ As a business owner myself, I believe she lacks customer service and communication skills. She relies heavily on SOPs and terms & conditions—while these are important, she should also be open to constructive feedback to improve her services.

A Few Concerning Incidents
⚠️ On the first day, she made a big deal about some rashes on my baby, claiming they would turn into boils and burst if I didn’t follow her advice. She refused to use her baby scrub powder on my child. I later consulted a pediatrician who confirmed the rashes were normal—and they cleared up in a few days.
⚠️ I had a C-section, and my gynae confirmed that my wound was clean and healing well. However, she insisted my wound hadn’t dried and refused to do tungku (hot compress) on the area. She also hesitated when I said I could lie on my tummy. It felt like she believed she knew more than the specialists. "Miss Know It All."

At the end of the day, even though the therapists were good, I didn’t have the best confinement experience because of the managing director’s attitude.

If you still want to engage with them, here’s my advice:
1️⃣ Set clear expectations – Be firm about what you want, including timing and treatment preferences.
2️⃣ Communicate upfront – If you have specific needs or preferences, inform them in advance. We wanted to observe on the first day before deciding, but that didn’t go over well.
3️⃣ Speak up immediately – If something isn’t right, let them know as soon as possible.
4️⃣ Do your research – I only found out about some negative reviews after signing up. Make sure you check properly before committing.

Also, be aware that if they feel you’re not a “good customer,” they might refuse your booking.

Honestly, I don’t understand how a service-based business can operate this way.

For me, attitude matters more than anything. You can have the best services, but if you’re arrogant and unwilling to listen to customers, you’ll eventually lose them.

Engaged with Rubysha Confinement Services for 30 days babycare & 15 days mothercare package. Here is some feedback for Ms Suha, who was our assigned confinement personnel:

She has always been professional from the first session up till the last from her service, dressing, communication & approach.

She is also very punctual as she would always update on ETA and each session is a productive use of time.

Ms Suha is very proactive and would always update in advance for any change in slots and would be able to accommodate if there was any change on my end too.

Ms Suha ensured mine and baby's comfort throughout the services. I still recall how nervous I was before my first shower and she made me feel so comfortable. Also whenever baby is having a bit more of a rough day, she would know how to take pauses to soothe him. Overall, very comfortable and confident with Ms Suha's expertise especially since she is a mum herself. My postpartum recovery was very smooth thanks to Ms Suha!

As a first time mom, I had a lot of worries and questions about baby's overall growth and well-being, Ms Suha was always able to answer any questions I had. She also knew about each product, content, uses, benefits and reason for each method used as well. She also knew in and out about Rubysha as a company itself & was proud to share its achievements. Its also because of her I learned how to identify if baby is constipated or not, if he is having a flue or not and many more. She is also very thorough and observant and would immediately pick up if baby's nails were longer, if he has put on some weight, or if he had a new rash, etc. She was also able to advise on breastfeeding and it has really helped me!

The only other feedback I have is that I wish we could have Ms Suha with us longer! Thank you once again Ms Suha for the wonderful services! Would definitely want to work again with you in the future❤️❤️❤️
