Purple Haze Tavern is an excellent local bar and hostel. It's right on the water, with a great sunset view. The local crowd of mostly island transplants that visits is very colorful and friendly. Adrian and Tina are very welcoming, as is Hendrix the dog. I would recommend to anyone looking for a friendly local hangout or hostel to stay in for a while.

A community based chill out spot and hostel by the mangrooves, facing west which means you will get a spectacular sunset... away from touristic areas. Cool vibes and island life.

Es war wirklich schön dort. Sehr familiär und entspannt. Anfangs hatten wir für zwei Tage gebucht, sind dann aber für eine Woche geblieben. Außerdem ist Hendrix der coolste. Ein Tipp von mir wäre es einen Roller zu mieten. Die Gegend hat richtig schöne Ecken.

This place is awesome.. good classic rock music and sometimes reggae, the regulars that hangout there are from all around the world, its a community of its own. Fun friendly host, cosy beds and cold beers! Its the real easy skankin' island life.. 🤙🏾

If you're looking for a frenly atmosphere, cool vibes and awesome host at the bar, well this is THE PLACE to visit if you're visiting Langkawi, Best place to chill and chit chat with frens and local community. Sunset view is simply AWESOME from here.
