Seafood soup kway teow 🫲
Thick fish slices but average tasting soup. Very shocking that they don’t provide fried garlic topping.

Assam fish 🫲
Too salty and oily. Not enough assam and sugar.

My 2nd visit but definitely many more to come. Alway love the rustic feel of zinc roofed semi-alfresco dinning where the food is cooked with lots of passion infused!

Seafood is the name of the game here, nothing less. A hearty warm bowl filled with the freshest prawns, sliced fish and minced pork ball. When we arrived at bout 9.30am, we had the 4th last bowl of the stall.

This round, we added seafood with assam sauce and stir fried potato leaves with garlic. What a refreshing explosion of tasty assam that's tangy and a little spiced, giving it a kick. Interesting that this trio of dishes, complement very well, perhaps it's because of the freshness of the seafood that elevates the taste!

The local coffee is nothing short of fragrant despite it's thin texture with little acidity. Also a must have to go with the hearty soup.

Today, I came after having my 1st round of breakfast @Kheng Guan Hiong coffeshop, next to the Pontian Fish Market. Look out for my post on Kheng Guan Hiong.

Locating this place is tricky, very easy to be missed as it's usually blocked by the customer's cars. It's opposite the Kilang Membuat Biskut factory. Follow my drop-pin for the actual location.

Nice fresh fish noodle soup. Is a stall, so there are a lot of flies. If you don't mind bout the flies, definitely should try out their fish noodle
