The moonriver lodge had a really cosy setting. There are rabbits and chickens there as well. The people there are also friendly and welcoming, always giving us food and snacks when they saw us. They even offered to carry our heavy luggage and we were easily able to park in the compound. We also easily got to know the people around there. If you are looking for a farmstay or to trek for rafflesia, the moonriver lodge is a good place to stay over while you recover from your treks. Feel free to ask for private treks to see the rafflesia even when it is off season ie not the school holidays - while wikipedia said there are seasons, there is a community there who will be monitoring the growth of these flowers to increase your chances of seeing the flower in person!

We camped just outside the gate of Moonriver Lodge and had a wonderful experience. Billie was kind enough to let me postpone my stay after my car broke down on the first attempt — truly appreciated her understanding. The whole place is serene, calm, and surrounded by nature. Everything is so well kept — clean, orderly, and easily 5-star facilities from a camping point of view. Perfect spot to unwind and recharge.

We have a great mini nature expedition stay at Moonriver Lodge. Just coming back yerterday. A 3 days 2 nights stay is a memorable one. We enjoy very much how the lodge was set-up with comfortable outdoor meeting/discussion/working facilities. Other outdoor facilities is another attractions. A good option for hikers, birders and nature lovers.

I was with my wife for a night for a ‘business’ cum leisure trip. It was literally a breath of fresh air. Weather at night was cooling and the scenery around the resort was definitely better than the over-developed Cameron area. We hiked around the lodge, and saw a fire snail and connected with nature. We looked at how the veges were produced, and even bought some. The organic veges were definitely sweet and fresh, and when prepared tasted so much better.

If you are planning a trek to see the endangered Rafflesia flower, the place to stay must be Moonriver Lodge. It located close to where the trek begins.|The Lodge is in garden setting with attractive rooms.|As an organic agricultural farm as well, you can expect farm-to-table goodness for your meals.|The staff are friendly and the atmosphere relax.

Our stay at the moonriver lodge was very memorable, particularly due to the attractions around the area. Specifically, the trip to see the rafflesia flowers and firesnail was very fun. Additionally the hosts helped us to find guides to both of those locations which was especially helpful for us. The food were also very delicious and most importantly, nutritious as they always includes fruits and vegetables from their organic farms. All in all, this place is highly recommended to those who love nature.

“We absolutely loved our stay at Moon River Lodge. At night, it was so calm and refreshingly cool, such a peaceful escape from the city’s hustle and bustle. The whole place felt like a healing retreat. We spent a good amount of time just stargazing under clear skies, surrounded by beautiful, natural scenery.

What a delight it was to enjoy the lodge’s own farm-fresh produce, the meals served was super fresh, delicious, and felt straight from the garden. It’s a wonderful spot for families, especially those with young kids. There’s so much that’s educational here, learning about nature, farming, and appreciating the quiet countryside.

We’d highly recommend Moon River Lodge for a restful, rejuvenating family getaway!
