We recently booked a Duet Studio Room using the kiosk and it was a smooth and convenient experience. You can easily select your preferred time slot directly on the kiosk. Make sure to keep the receipt after making payment, as you’ll need the QR code on it to check in. Once you check in, they’ll let you know your room number.

This was a new experience for us and we loved it! The setup with music and communication via microphones was unique, and we appreciated that there’s a cover for the microphones, ensuring hygiene. What stood out to us the most was the lesser noise since the music plays through headphones, making it an intimate and enjoyable experience. However, please note that there aren’t any of the latest songs available. Despite this, we had a fantastic time and will definitely be coming back again soon!

Kitty and I decided to check out Mini Studio Karaoke @ Toppen JB after she had been raving about this new shopping center with all its fun activities. Toppen JB itself is a fairly new shopping center, probably about three years old, with a modern and unique design. It's different from the usual shopping malls we see in Johor Bahru, and we were impressed by the selection of shops and activities.

We were particularly excited to try Mini Studio Karaoke. They offer a range of packages for singing in their mini studios. These studios are like little recording booths, soundproofed and equipped with high-quality microphones and headphones. You can clearly hear your own voice and the music through the headphones, which makes singing so much more enjoyable.

We opted for a 30-minute slot, which is very affordable. We think that's a very reasonable price for a private, comfortable studio with such good sound equipment. The microphones are sensitive and high quality, and we both felt we sang better in this studio than we usually do.

There are a few things that could be improved. We found the song selection a little challenging to navigate. We weren't sure if the search engine was just a bit clunky or if we were using it wrong! We also noticed that the microphones and headphones weren't covered for hygiene purposes, which is something we think should be considered. It would be great if they had disposable covers for the headphones, like they do for microphones, that customers could change after each use.

Overall, we had a lot of fun at Mini Studio Karaoke. It's a great option for anyone looking for a fun and affordable karaoke experience. The studio is well-equipped, the sound quality is excellent, and the staff are friendly. We definitely recommend checking it out!

Alright, folks, Mini Studio is a great place to enjoy a fun and immersive karaoke experience. Donkey & I, decided to try it out with a 30-minute session, and it was a blast!

The Good:

• The Atmosphere: The studio offers a private and focused atmosphere where you put on headphones and sing into the mic. This allows you to focus on your performance without worrying about disturbing others.

• The Sound: The sound quality with the headphones was excellent, and they were comfortable to wear for the duration of our session.

The Quirks:

• Nothing really stood out as a “quirk” in this review.

Donkey's Note: I loved the private atmosphere at Mini Studio! It was so much fun.

My Note: I’m so glad we tried Mini Studio! The headphones made it a truly immersive experience.

No frills booking kiosk, can choose in 30 minute duration slots. Hygenic with microphone and headphone coverings provided. Chinese songs selection quite up to date. Rooms were very soundproof. We walked around before using and cant hear the singing of other rooms. Convenient and shiok!

The booking process was quite simple, I got a band studio with 3 other friends, so the price after splitting was very cheap. Though, we wanted to use Youtube for the songs instead because the choices they had was VERY limited. Youtube wouldn't load at all. We contacted a staff but they couldn't do anything about it, which I was a little upset about. Also they have 2 microphones for a room that's meant for 2+ people..

Anyway, the room was a bit cramped but cozy.

(P.s staff looked like bro works minimum wage, please smile more 😭)

Place was good but they need to upgrade their karaoke machine. They should also include more popular and well known K-pop groups such as Enhypen and TXT. If they don't then they're just going to lose customers. They didn’t have the Chase Atlantic and some random famous artist too btw they should add more songs to the neighbour hood band too.
