Πολύ καλό ξενοδοχείο κεντρικοτατο πολυτελές με πολύ εξυπηρετικό προσωπικό, καλό φαγητό με έμφαση στο πρωινό.
Οι παροχές του ξενοδοχείου καλές και πολύ οικονομική διαμονή για αυτά που προσφέρει.

The hotel has clearly seen better days, definitely needs maintenence.. Better paint all round. It's located centrally, great access and helpful reception. But the room phones don't work, finding any kind of vegan/veg food option is very hard at the hotel. For the prices charged, wish they did a better job at maintenence of leaky bathrooms. When it rains, the water comes in through the window on the higher floors of the hotel.

I've booked a Three Bedroom apartment for 4 family members (including myself) in this hotel. Here's my take:

Pros:
- Customer service (including receptionist) are freaking nice, informative, helpful and overall very polite to my endless questions.
- Very accomodating. I've informed ahead I have an easy allergic reaction to unclean and dusty rooms which makes my body flare up with rashes all over like a red potato. However, I was super thankful the room was clean!!!!!!
- Awesome room service, used towels were replaced and drinkable water bottles were refilled each day of my stay.
- Strategic hotel location. There's like a mall next to this hotel and majority of my destination spots were in a walkable distance.

Cons:
- Late Check-in time. I came about 1:50pm ish. We were aware that check-in time is at 3pm. However by 3pm, room wasn't ready yet and staff asked us to wait until we're called. We waited in the Lobby till 4:20pm ish unaware when the room be ready.
- Noise due to Concert and Festival in front of Hotel. Unfortunately the day of my stay coincides with a Celebration on 11th Oct. Couldn't sleep from 9-11 Oct due to the noise of their preparations and rehearsal. That's entirely on me as I did not research ahead. Note, check for any events happening in Padang Merdeka or you'll end up with sleepless nights.
- Closed gym and souvenirs shops. I've heard there's a gym and souvenir shop in this hotel. I was looking forward to it. However I found out it was already closed down.

Summary:
Even though check-in time is super slow. I overall love the atmosphere and room being clean, (as in my allergic reaction didn't come up). Btw I am aware that the walls, windows and furniture might be a little old however room is still clean. Personally in a numbering system, Id rate 9.5 outta 10

We had a short stay at Merdeka Palace Hotel & Suites and were quite disappointed with our experience. When we arrived, there was no bellboy available, so we had to carry our own five pieces of luggage (three of us in total).

During check-in, the receptionist mentioned that the payment for our booking didn’t go through and that the room type we originally booked was fully booked. We were advised to either pay the walk-in rate or rebook online (which was much cheaper). Thankfully, after my partner helped with the online booking, the payment finally went through.

When we entered the room, there were no towels, the bathroom floor was still wet, and there was no telephone in the room. I had to contact the receptionist through WhatsApp to request towels. The room also had an unpleasant odour, and the pillows smelled bad and were too soft.

Upon check-out, I tried calling the receptionist several times to request help with our luggage, but no one answered. We ended up carrying our bags ourselves, and unfortunately, as I entered the elevator, the door suddenly closed on my left arm. It was quite a scary experience, though I managed to pull my arm away in time.

Overall, it was not a pleasant stay. Sadly, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel and won’t be returning in the future.

La struttura di per sé molto bella, ma completamente abbandonata a sé stessa.|La lobby è discretamente tenuta, mentre gli appartamenti sono un disastro. Quello assegnatoci presentava vari luoghi con muffa e l' odore era pessimo. Il successivo appartamento presentava macchie sulla moquette,sul divano e sulle sedie. l'isolante delle finestre era bucato in varie parti e i vetri sporchissimi.|La piscina dall' aspetto abbandonato.|La colazione cara e infelice.|Di per sé avrei dato 2 se non avesse una splendida posizione e un costo relativamente contenuto.

A Charming Vintage Stay
The hotel boasts classic vintage furniture that adds a nostalgic charm to the ambiance. While there were a few minor shortcomings, overall it was a decent and pleasant stay. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was impressively clean and well-designed—top-notch indeed. However, the flushing system in room 230 could use some maintenance.

The highlight was definitely the lobby: elegant, with a timeless wooden aesthetic that truly sets the tone for the whole property.

Easy access to shops and restaurant with less traffic in the area without facing road congestion. Got plenty of parking (free for hotel guest). Room is clean and tidy with full amenities provided. Breakfast is decent with local menu for you to enjoy.

Firstly, front desk office tidak mesra dan sangat rude. Dengan muka berlagak pandang customer seperti kerja dalam keadaan terpaksa.

Secondly, bilik nya sangat lah buruk, carpet buruk, setup semua zaman dahulu kala. First masuk toilet kotor and bau kencing tak cuci.. bila flush kena flush berkali2, if flushing sekali saja nanti akan bau busuk
Thirdly, toilet amenities tu macam pakai gel cuci tangan je. Mandi pon rasa tak bersih.
Fourthly, tilamnya ada banyak stain kotor dan dah terlalu lama. Badan sakit!

Oh yes, phone dalam bilik hotel tak boleh pakai! It’s like staying dekat hotel hantu whereas harga nya sangat lah mahal. And akses kad hotel bilik setiap kali nak kena authorise semula alasan tak boleh rapat dengan phone. Bila kita bertanya tentang isu kad; staff front desk tarik muka and one of the staff lelaki tu body shaming my family members!

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE UNTUK TIDUR AT THIS HOTEL yang. Staff yang sombong2 tu better kena buang lah! Bukan setakat staff dekat frontdesk, yang MADAM jaga parking tu pun sama; merokok di tempat carpark dan mengumpat customer.
