WORST BIRTHDAY EXPERIENCE AT PARKROYAL A’FAMOSA MELAKA!

This was supposed to be a relaxing birthday treat — but it turned into a nightmare.

On 31 May, I had a spa session at Mandara Spa (booked the Pure Indulgence package). Before the treatment, I placed my gold necklace in the jewellery box as instructed. After the session, I took it — but while rushing to the toilet, I placed it near the sink… and accidentally left it there.

Later that night (2:30AM!), I realised and immediately called reception. They promised to follow up the next morning. But guess what? NO ONE called me.

I had to go to reception myself. Still, no proper assistance. They asked me to wait till 11AM. At the spa, the staff already knew about my case but never bothered to contact me. They then tried to push the blame onto housekeeping.

The Housekeeping Director was the worst — completely unhelpful, unapologetic, and dismissive.
Even worse? Some of them even implied I made up the story. 🤯

We paid for a ParkRoyal Suite, dined at their restaurant — and THIS is the level of service we received?!

ParkRoyal A’Famosa Melaka & Mandara Spa — you’ve truly failed your guests. No accountability, no professionalism, no empathy.

Do better. Or don’t expect loyal customers.

I went at this Mandara Spa in Parkroyal A'famosa Malacca. It's was a short vacation with my family. I booked thru email. Ms. Sheryl replied to my email and my booking was verry smooth with her assist. I came to the spa, and was greeted by Ms. Sheryl as well. She was polite and she is so professional in explaining the treatment that i booked. They served me the ginger tea and the towel for my refresment. They explained the massage oil and after that the therapist bring me to the treatment room. Ms. Adel does the treatment for me. She was nice. I booked the balinese massage for relaxing and it was done perfectly. The price is so affordable and they are having promotion when i was there. The spa is clean, the music was so relaxing. Overoll, it's was soo good. This is the very first time i went to the spa with joy. I enjoyed it so much. Gonna come back with my wife to this spa again.
