I first came to Jing Si Books and Cafe on my wife’s suggestion while handling some car maintenance errands nearby. With three hours to kill, I thought, why not? Initially, I expected a typical hipster cafe, but I was pleasantly surprised to find it was much more than that.

The name ‘Jing Si Books’ is quite literal—they sell books and it’s also a bit like a Buddhist temple. Throughout my visit, the staff performed chants to some statues, adding a unique spiritual vibe to the place.

I ordered a cappuccino, although their coffee selection is quite limited. They focus more on tea and Chinese herbal drinks. I needed to stay awake, so coffee it was. The cappuccino was decent, not extraordinary, but it did the job.

The ambiance is perfect for students. During my time there, I noticed several students using the space for studying. It’s quiet and conducive for concentration, which is a big plus.

The highlight for me was the vegan porridge. It was so good that I came back a second time, bringing a friend along. The portion was just right for one person, and the flavors were spot on.

Jing Si Books and Cafe isn’t very popular among the locals, especially the Chinese and Malays, which I secretly love. It means I get to enjoy the calm and serene atmosphere without the usual hustle and bustle. It’s a hidden gem that offers a unique, tranquil experience, perfect for a quiet hangout or study session.

Highly recommended if you're looking for a peaceful spot with a touch of spirituality.

It's a great place to do your work. They serve drinks and you may buy healthy snacks from the shop. I love it. Will definitely come back to enjoy the air-conditioned here. 😆

Staffs are friendly and helpful. Ordered a cappuccino which tasted a bit sweet, I guessed they used local kopi bag instead of espresso. They served it with small cookies and a cup of plain water ,which is very kind. The atmosphere was suitable for working ,studying and reading too.

I wouldn't recommend this for coffee. But the tea was really good and the service was excellent! The ambiance was nice too. We were a group of 9 and just hung out and enjoyed ourselves.

这里的工作人员，都是义工，请不要对他们大呼小叫，大家都是来义务服务的，何必为难他人呢？有话，请好好说。
这里没有卖食物，只卖茶喝。首选RM10套餐，有茶又有饼干，还有五谷粉，能填肚子又营养！
如果你不知道点什么茶，我强烈建议柚子茶，酸酸甜甜的很好喝，还带一股柚子香气！
这里的书可以免费阅读，有中文还有英文，有关于宗教，健康，环保等等的好书，请在看阅时注意不要弄坏了。
最重要一点，请保持安静，不要干扰其他人，做个有素质的人！

很寧靜及可以放空的地方，雖然只是提供飲料，可以慢慢品嚐飲料的原味。烏龍茶味道很清香，不錯喝。
