The thunder tea rice is one of the best I've had. The veges are sliced finely and i think they use young tender veges and cooked to the right level. The soup is rich and taste good. Worth making a trip. Didn't get to try the abacus as this is only available on weekends.

Very authentic Hepo Hakka lei cha and cai pan !
The yong tofu is very yummy too . Very reasonable prices . Clean toilets and very friendly staff . One of them even help me to call a grab using his own phone. This restaurant is just next to the beautiful wall art street which I highly recommend. Very pleasant atmosphere with a village feel

Came for the 算盘子 however learn is available on weekend only (sat and sun?), disappointed though. Would have to make another trip over on a weekend.
Nevertheless the atmosphere, services are very superb.
Great to walk around the mural street to beef up your Instagram photos.

Another name for this corner cafe is Kedai Makanan Hakka Sawit. As the name suggests, this place serves Hakka food. Love the Lei Cha and fried pork. For coffee lovers, do try their special Liberica coffee.

喜欢咸菜板😍一片RM1.50。菜板需到柜台后面订购。
餐馆没冷气有点热。
餐馆后巷有摊客家糍粑好吃😋

This shop is located at the mural street. Very authentic chai pan and lei cha rice. I’ll also recommend trying the roasted rice lei cha .

Was in this part of town and this was a chance discovery somewhere nestled within the village houses in the kampung sort of backdrop. For a change it was Hakka styled food. Place was clean, food was tasty and it came fast. I guess they're werent expecting a non chinese person as all the menus were in mandarin till i came, the girl was kind to show me an English menu. Lol Waitress could have been a bit more alert to cutlery provided.
Oh yes.. the Kopi..tasted excellent!
