Hanoi 9 Spa - Exceptional Experience Worth Every Penny

Visited on Friday, 3rd January at 10:30 PM with tag number 2018, and opted for the premium package. From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of amazing.

The receptionist, dressed in a black blazer and sporting golden hair, was incredibly professional and detailed in explaining the package options. She offered us choices between pedicure or ear cleaning, as well as hot stone or ear candling to complement the herbal scalp treatment. It was impressive to see such thoughtful customization for guests.

The male masseur for my foot massage, transferred from another outlet (as shared by a lady in white, who I believe is the manager), was a highlight. He was attentive and thorough, noticing when I felt cold and checking if the pressure was comfortable throughout the session. This level of care made the experience extra special.

The buffet spread was delightful — kept warm with a good variety of options. The staff were attentive and quick to offer assistance. A special mention to the guy who prepared my iced tea; the effort and detail he put into frothing the tea were outstanding, and both the hot and iced teas had a robust flavor that was deeply satisfying.

For the additional treatments, I opted for ear cleaning instead of a pedicure. While I found it ticklish, my three companions found it relaxing. The herbal scalp treatment paired with the hot stone therapy was a fantastic combination. The warmth from the stones and the steam treatment towards the end left my hair feeling rejuvenated.

Overall, the staff’s professionalism, attention to detail, and warm service made this visit an unforgettable experience. The premium package was worth every penny. I’ll definitely be returning!

Wouldn’t say the masseuses were the best, missed quite a few points when it comes to massage. My friend did the hair spa treatment but felt like the person was pulling her hair. She didn’t enjoy it at all. If you ask me if is it worth it to be a member, I suggest you try first, if you enjoy then sign up. But a very nice place to make you enjoy your treatments and services. They were friendly, and accommodative.

But probably may not try the cupping or gua shang again! Maybe would just go for the oil aroma for the free item.

Went to Hanoi 9 spa in JB 😃
It’s a very instagrammable place with beautiful deco & hand painted walls in every room.
Private jacuzzi water was just the right temperature. I love the rgb lights inside. 👍
Hair scalp treatment with shoulder massage + facial was one of the best 👍ever however blow drying of hair, the lady didn’t use a comb at the same time.👎
Buffet food has quite a variety but the drinks only have orange juice available which was too sweet 👎
Smell of place also has a very strong paint smell bc it’s quite a new shop. 👃🏻
Mani & pedi were average bc nail polish colour need to add on & they forgot to cut my nails 👎
The staff there wasn’t super friendly & arrangement was messy. 👎
Massage was not bad but the aura from the lady was bad 👎 There was no cracking of bones eventhough they are doing Vietnamese massage.
Pool table was good for in between waits for appointment slots.
Price is also quite pricey for jb spas. 🤑I feel it isn’t value for money. Paid around $100+ SGD for VIP package for 9 hrs at the spa.

Quite a good spread of food at buffet line and some taste great. Too bad options for soft drinks can be better.

Sauna room is huge and clean, but the stone pit should have more stones and a pail of water beside to enhance the experience.

The 1 and only pool is set at 36’c which is sub-optimal.

The main movie theatre is set to silent mode so as to reduce disturbance to others but there is no earphones options. How to listen? Not even playing movies, just playong silent YouTube clips.

The only great thing is the masseur giving a professional aromatherapy, applying different pressure, paying special attention to my injured spot.

I went for a massage and tried the facilities. The massage was decent, and the cinema-style foot massage hall is well-equipped with good lighting. The spa facilities are surprisingly spacious, and I would say they have set a new standard for similar establishments in JB - in terms of size. For the price, the buffet was also quite decent—I saw a lot of food available even though I arrived past dinner time. I met a few kind and surprisingly friendly staff at the locker and cafe areas. The locker attendant was especially nice and helpful. I also like how I can park right outside the spa and walk in - so private and convenient.

However, I do have some suggestions for the owner to consider for improvement:

1. The protective stickers on the ceiling, massage chairs, and shower doors are everywhere and quite an eyesore. I understand you may be keeping them to provide extra protection, but they could disintegrate later and leave ugly marks on the surfaces. It’s better to remove them now.

2. I saw a female staff member inside the male locker area looking for someone, and I also saw a girl running around inside the male locker area like it’s some playground. This is not acceptable. A male locker area should be exclusively for males—adults or children.

3. I noticed children playing in the male jacuzzi fully clothed in T-shirts and shorts, and one kid was even wearing jeans. This is unacceptable for a jacuzzi. Families might be treating the jacuzzi like an indoor pool, but a spa is a place to clean and relax the body. Fully clothed kids playing in the water is unhygienic and a major turn-off.

4. The jacuzzi floor is extremely slippery, and the four steps leading into the onsen pool have no handrails. I nearly slipped myself, as I assumed there were three steps underwater, but there are actually four.

Having said that, I will still return because I am a big fan of the giant jacuzzi and I commend the owner for bringing a piece of Chinese/East Asian culture to JB. I hope the owner considers my suggestions for further improvement.

Massage wise not too bad.
Probably depends on masseur skill.

Buffet spread not bad.

Overall not bad for first experience.

Visited on a Sunday night at ard 12ish am.

Went for the Aromatherapy body massage with free Gua sha at rm238. There was no hard-sell. Place was very clean, modern & nice looking. Staff were friendly and ready to assist should you need help.

Killed some time playing pool before going for the massage.

Toilet is also very clean.

Think my assigned masseuse was #19. Conversation could be made with simple mandarin chinese. Service was exceptional. From time to time, she would ask if the strength applied was ok, was the aircon too cold etc.

As we were quite late, the food was quite limited. But there were live stations; Pho and claypot noodle.

There’s jacuzzi and spa that we didnt manage to try. But thats for next time.

Would definitely be back again. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a clean massage place near KSL area with great ambience and amenities.
