My friend introduced me to this D'Utama club long time ago, but I procrastinated because as my job only faces the computer screen most of the time, I thought I'd never need to develop the skill so soon. Lo and behold, once I joined the club, little did I know that public speaking is just one part of puzzle, it actually encompasses:
- influential communication skills
- thinking on the feet
- mindset development
- peer support
- problem solving and skills enhancement
- how to deal with people & leadership
- protégé, coaching and mentoring
- the program is designed to better ourselves
- organizational skills
- how to run a multinational company
It's truly a case of "don't judge a book by it's cover" - in this case, public speaking is the cover, and the content inside is quite amazing because of the people that I met in this club.

Back then I procrastinated because I didn't think it was worth the traffic jam from my congested workplace, now I really regret for not joining much earlier as I could see the younger members were so grounded yet elegant in how they carry themselves. Do pay them a visit and persevere, talk to the people, as they have also gone through what we are going through in terms or fear or doubts.

An excellent club with a rich history. When I joined the club in 1993 I had overwhelming support from very experienced and dedicated mentors.
