My first time here. Actually my sister told me to come here, but I refused as I’m not the adventurous type to explore when I come to a certain place for work. I would rather stay in the hotel and rest.

But another colleague invite us to come and see this place as it’s not far from our hotel. And so we did. There’s an accessible road to drive to this place, which is at the top of a hill. Not a long drive, probably 5 minutes or less.

Don’t ask me why it’s call Canada Hill, but this place is a great place to have a brisk walk or maybe a jog around. There’s quite a number of people here when I came on a weekday around 5pm.

It has a beautiful scenery from the top of the hill, with some good places to take photos as well.

We walked up from the city along some obscure footpaths - easy to follow but several splits so you need a map/compass to keep oriented in the dense vegetation.
The hill itself is only worth it for the museum, maybe the MIRI sign. There's a small restaurant too. Our walk down was on the tar road 2,5km.

The huge MIRI sign is up here. If you’re looking for something more educational you can go visit the Petroleum Museum. And don’t miss the photos with the Grand Old Lady
