Did the 2 day and 1 night tour with borneo dream.
The communication was really good and the organisation of all of the component parts worked well.
We had private guides for the orangutans, sunbears and rainforest discovery centre! Wed thoroughly recommend adding the sunbears to your itinerary. We also upgraded our room for a river view.
It was a very professional experience all round and I'd use them again!

Had an amazing time diving with Borneo Dream. Saw some pretty cool stuff. Some highlights include the electric clams, skeleton shrimp, bubble coral shrimp and my favourite Shaun the sheep nudi. Thank you divemaster Yadi and captain Azmi for taking care of us.

Had the best day with Alex and Azmi for a private snorkel tour around the marine park. They did an amazing job looking for the most secluded and quiet spots. We were in clownfish heaven but also saw rays and turtles. Alex even dove to find me the smallest nudibranch that I've ever seen! What a wonderful day, thank you both.

It's clear the coral is stressed but still very much worth seeing!

Brilliant snorkeling tour and a must for anyone in Kota Kinabalu! Our snorkel guide, Alex and captain, Sabri are ocean and marine life lovers who are so knowledgeable and passionate about exploring and conserving the oceans of Borneo. Even though it was windy, they took us to secluded and calm spots to do 3 snorkels. We saw a massive array of colourful fish, a turtle, banded sea snakes, a moray eel and many more. Alex took so much care of all our guests with different levels of swim confidence to make sure we all had a great time and felt comfortable. He helped me get some fantastic footage with my GoPro as I don't know how to free dive. I highly recommend doing tours with Borneo Dreams! Thank you so much! 🙏🏽🐢♥️

Italia 2025 - molto soddisfatti del tour di 4 giorni nel Borneo (giornate piene di attività) Nel viaggio di ritorno abbiamo avuto un guasto al mezzo di trasporto: la guida ha improvvisato un piccolo tour a piedi nelle vicinanze parlando della coltura malese del posto, nel frattempo sono arrivati 3 mezzi per poter soddisfare al meglio tutte le varie necessità dei turisti ( aeroporto - fermata autobus - hotel). Noi che non avevamo fretta, ci hanno offerto il pranzo (non previsto) prima dell’escursione alla Rain Forest.. Bravi!

Purtroppo la nostra bella escursione al sepilok , Sun bear conservation center e labuk bay proboscis monkey è stata rovinata dalla guida che non ci ha spiegato nulla, ha saltato alcune parti della visita e non ci ha nemmeno dato il tempo di leggere i pannelli illustrativi. Al. Sun bear ci ha detto di proseguire da soli dato che lui camminava troppo velocemente. La visita al sim sim village è stata abolita da lui dicendoci che c’era puzza data la bassa marea e la sporcizia e non avremmo potuto apprezzare.. Ci ha riportati in Albergo e dopo circa un’ora ci ha fatti venire a prendere per portarci a cena. Sono stati soldi mal spesi, avremmo potuto fare la stessa cosa da soli spendendo meno

I recently took my PADI Open Water Dive Course with Borneo Dream in Kota Kinabalu, and it was one of the best experiences ever. From making a booking to actually completing the course, the entire process was smooth, professional, and enjoyable!

I signed up for the course solo and was supposed to take the course with 3 other students. However, because they didn't complete the e-learning on time, they had to start the course at a later date (do note that it is a MUST to complete the e-learning and exam, they are very strict with this, as they should be), and thus it ended up being a private course with just me and the dive instructor, Basir.

Bas was an awesome teacher and he went above and beyond to ensure that I felt comfortable and confident throughout the course, answering every question I had patiently. He also took his time to make sure that I have mastered each skill, and added fun elements to the dives to make sure that I am enjoying myself.

The boat provided by Borneo Dream was not big, but very well-equipped and well-maintained. Everything we needed for the dive was prepared beforehand and I got to use the same equipment for all 3 days. Bas also taught me all the proper ways of assembling and disassembling my diving kit, as well as proper maintenance habits.

Each day, we had lunch in one of the island and there was a huge variety of options to choose from. Do note that drinks are not included in the package, so either bring some cash if you want to buy drinks, or fill up your water bottle on the boat and bring it down with you. There are also shower stalls at the island for you to wash off the salt water so that you feel more comfortable.

As someone who was diving for the first time, I felt nervous and unsure about taking part in the course, especially since I was doing it solo. I am so grateful that I chose Borneo Dream. The instructors went out of the way to make sure that I am comfortable and well taken care of.

If you are considering taking the PADI Open Water Dive Course in Kota Kinabalu, I strongly recommend Borneo Dream. The instructors here take safety very seriously, and make sure that you are well-equipped with the right skills for you to fully enjoy your dive. You can be sure that you are in safe hands as you pick up this new sport and join the diving community.

I loved my tour with borneo dreams. Because of my own travel arrangements it had been tailored to me and I got to experience everything on the 3d/2n turtle island and river cruise at times that worked for me. Nature can't be planned and we had a fair bit of rain which again shifted things a bit but despite that i still experienced seeing all of the animals I'd hoped to see. My three guides were fab, clearly very passionate about the animals and the nature we were seeing and able to explain what everything was and answer all my questions. I was in awe of their eyes constantly scanning to make sure we didn't miss anything, especially the pit viper at the end! While I loved seeing the turtles hatching Turtle island is the bit I may not have done again as you are in for a long wait in a very basic accommodation to see the turtle- it's pretty sad to see how dirty the sea is as well around sandakan. The sepilok forest and Kinabatangan River areas were both magical and I would happily have spent longer in either of those places. All in all highly recommended!
