We had originally intended to eat at a nearby Thai restaurant only to discover upon arrival that it was permanently closed. Bla Bla Bla was virtually next door and based on typically good reviews we decided to eat here instead.

Access to the restaurant upstairs is via a number of paving slabs set over water, ahead of the stairs.

The layout of the restaurant is relatively simple, but airy thanks to the airconditioning. Various alcoholic beverages feature on a very extensive menu that offers all manner of Asian fusion food.

We ordered the black pepper beef, Thai style crispy chicken with mango, and a midin salad. The first observation about the portion sizes is that they are quite large. We probably could have ordered just the one main course between us as we struggled to eat everything that was brought out. The black pepper beef had an intense, but not overwhelming, flavour and the beef was tender. The chicken dish had quite a chilli kick to it that was moderated by the mango, and this combination worked well.

The overall price of the meal was somewhat higher than in similar restaurants in Kuching, but this was probably more a reflection of the quite large portion sizes.

Four of us couldn't finish the big portion of 1-pax fried rice and veggies. The Mango duck was nice and tasty, this dish was served with 8 spoons of mango and duck.

The stir fried Midin/fern and the Pandan chicken was amazing! The rice/noodle dishes say they are for one person but the portion is huge, so I think they mean portion for one if you’re not getting any other dish.

the food is superb, so far the best meal I've had in Kuching. looking forward to be back at this restaurant again in the near future.

A rather nice atmospheric spot, although the service could be better and the food as well for the price. The signature cashew nut prawns are unfortunately not worth it. Ask them for unshelled option (and pay 8 MYR more), if you desperately must have them.

We could have chosen better in Kuching. 🤷‍♂️

A hidden gem in Kuching, wasn't expecting much from this restaurant but ended up being super satisfied. We enjoyed each of the dishes we had, and the ambiance was nice.

Be noted that the portion size of the foods are quite a lot.

Besides, staffs were very friendly and helpful. Great experience overall.

I am a very sensitive celiac and the waiter was super helpful to find me the best gluten free and non spicy option for me and my partner. He even checked the chicken broth for wheat, which is a rare ingredient to think of if you are not very concerned about food safety. His attention was a delight. We ended up eating sour sweet fish fillet and honey chicken as main dishes and both were delicious and the portions were huge. Also, they didn't cross contaminate me either, so I just had a perfect night. I highly recommend this restaurant for both celiac and non celiac people.
