Such friendly hosts! We had a lovely time here in the comfortable cabin with a private bathroom. They helped us and thinked along with getting the most out of our stay all the time.

Due to the high water levels, the owner helped us cross the river when we went out/came back.

Dinner and breakfast was served at the door everyday. Really tasteful and affordable.

Quite some mosquitos so be prepared (we were there during raining season).

What a special place this is. It is with pure luck that my family chose to stay here, and my kids had a wonderful time connecting with nature. Rooms are cosy and clean. Lovely owners Osborn and Shay helped plan everything, picking us up from KK airport, introducing the yummiest food and gorgeous views in town, and cooking such lovely home cooked food that my son said "I wish I can eat this meal again". Thank you, barefoot cabin, for your hospitality!

An unassuming property tucked in an unexpected corner just 3km off Keningau town centre. It offers an understated yet scenic experience with a few furry friends that were so eager to befriend us. The arrival was adventurous, our crossovers just managed to negotiate the river crossing which was quite a steep drop from the banks on either side. The family running the place was lovely and helpful. They also prepared for us decent dinner and breakfast that were reasonably priced. If you’re looking for a quiet, proper retreat with your loved ones that has just the right amount of modern comfort, look no further.

Family time is a simple relaxing place. With super friendly owners who go about and beyond to make you feel welcome in their tranquil haven. We had a bonfire laid out for us, very good food cooked for us in the morning and evening by Shay. Such a reasonable price to be able to stay and relax as a family. They also have catch and release fishing and Kayaking. I asked the owners about things to do in the area and Osmond sent me so many helpful links to look at. This really is a fabulous place to come get away from it all.

Wau This is a special accommodation for those who want to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, who are looking for a natural atmosphere in a garden, an atmosphere like in the atmosphere of a bush, a very quiet forest atmosphere. at night there is a sound in the lively forest atmosphere with the sound of night animals and insects. near the pool, there are several cabin design houses. clean, comfortable, relaxing. there are also camping areas in the forest, camping in the bush. You choose which one you prefer, in the cabin or camping, it's up to you to choose... according to your taste...

This is a special place. The welcome you receive from the owners Shay and Osmand will lift your spirits, and the stay renew your soul. We had a very good meal cooked for us on our first night and a fire laid out ready to enjoy afterwards. The cabins have aircon and electricity and a little wet room attached. They have very friendly dogs and you have to drive across a very low stream to reach them. The pond allows you to fish catch and release and it is also possible to Kayak. We sadly have to return home after the first night although we had booked for 2. Osmond and Shay could not have been more accommodating they helped print off a letter, needed for immigration. We left laidend with freshly picked avocados and passion fruits. We hope to return again soon and bring a tribe of friends with us!

Very relaxing atmosphere and climate! The cabins around the pond are available to rent for 120 for the non air conditioned ones and 150 for the air conditioned ones. There is Fishing, swimming and kayaking available at Barefoot cabin! Worth spending a weekend here!

A suitable place for an outing with family during the weekend. There are BBQ area, a kitchen area for some simple cooking and dining table. Be ready as this place is going to be hot in the afternoon even the air-cond is in maximum. Have a few spots to get a nice insta photo. Need to bring your own foods and drinks for overnight stay or else you can get it in Keningau Town.
Overall, is a nice place for a quiet and simple place to pass the day.
