Arch has the potential to be nice, common areas are cozy and the beds are comfy and the volunteers are nice. However, privacy curtains on the pods are basically see through. There are no hooks in the showers for towel or clothes and nowhere to hang your towel in the room. the toilet in my dorm was out of order and not sure how often they clean the bathrooms as it was pretty vile for over 24hrs. I asked for information about the ferry from the manager/owner and he told me to google it (thanks! I didnt try that already). One of the communal bathroom sinks was also plugged and filled to the top.

This is dorm type staycation, if you're traveling alone it is good choices to stay. Some room are mix men and women, for those whom not comfort with it kindly prefer other dorm. This is an open dormitory. Anyhow facilities here are good, can play some games prepared on leasure area, quite fun to get along with other people.

A really great place for a solo working trip. I stayed at another hostel in Langkawi before this that had a more party vibe, but I like this hostel more as it was not noisy and lights out at 11pm! People are also respectful to each other. No fights, no rude guests/staff. The volunteers were also very friendly and helpful in helping other guests find things to do/places to go.

Best thing was: the toilets were inside the dorm (female dorm) and my bunk was HUGE! I was told its the “best bunk” in the dorm. Had a whole space beside my mattress for my bag.

However, theres a slight plumbing/sewer-y smell around esp in the rooms. Its a normal thing in such premises bcs i know the shoplot plumbing arent the best usually. But that’s not on them at all!

Tho minor complaint, the plugs occasionally dont work in my room but thats barely an issue as several were outside.

Would totally come here again!

I have a good experience with this hotel and services. For the first time i entered the hall, the staff give a very good service and very helpful. Then the hotel is very clean, full with furniture, high speed wifi and etc. For the solo travelers out there and want to visit langkawi, I am very recommend to you guys.....

We booked mixed Dorm story loft and it was perfect. It was at the end of the row, with our own sitting area in front of the pool, surrounded by frangipani trees. The hotel is very clean and in a great, central location. I like that they are eco-friendly, offering free water In refillable glass carafes whenever you like. The pool is serene. Shower is large with good water pressure. They provide body wash and shampoo. No conditioner but there is a mini mart across the street. Night market is next door but our room was very quiet, heard nothing from outside. Loads of restaurants and whatever else you need nearby. It’s the perfect place to stay if you plan to be busy with water activities at Cenang beach or want to be in a central location to explore the island."

The bed I was shown was messy and pretty and cramped between people I dont know. I would still take it as the location and prices and vibes were still great, but the receptionist just messed it to the max. Pretty off and rude to me, and gave others more attention... don't know or want to assume why. After I said I'm gonna see all my options, he, the receptionist/cashier got obviously frustrated at me.

Very nice hostel, modern and quiet. Great showers and located right next to everything.
The staff/volunteers were super nice and really made the experience a good one.
The only negatives are one of the long term guests takes over the common area for online yoga classes, expecting everyone to be silent while he makes a lot of noise. He seemed like a nice enough guy, but that made the common area a bit uncomfortable.
Also my room was dominated by sandflies that got the best of me. Leaving bite marks all over.
I was offered another room and a free upgrade, but stubborn me thought I could win. I was wrong.
Nice homely feel to the place. Worth stopping in.

I left over my trolley bag for sometime while checking out. Someone unlocked my trolley bag then relocked and then changed my password. I cannot open it now as I am now at Airport. Later I used an additional small lock while traveling by Air. This is a terrible experience ever. I also complained for push shower hose pipe issue as it had leaking issue but they didn’t fixed it during my 4 days staying.
