Great place for a nice Chinese meal in Pontian. You have the option to bring your own ingredients bought from the nearby Pontian market and pay to have them cook the style you want. The presentation of the suckling pig was excellent. The taste was great and crispy when served.

Highly recommended if you are in the area.

Ignore the signage; the outside might not look like it, but their food is as good or better than the actual Shangrila.

Inside looked like a typical Chinese restaurant setting with air-con and a stage (not sure if there was any performance on special occasions), but pretty sure weddings could be hosted there.

The highlight was the suckling pig, which was crispy, and the presentation was good enough. The prawns were fresh. The only thing I felt a bit salty was the pig's trotter.

Parking was kind of hard to find, but as we came in a coach, it was no issue. Not too sure about the price as well, because it was part of our package, but I'm pretty sure it was more than reasonable.

Definitely will visit again on my own.

Came on a tour group menu. The fish and prawns were very fresh. The pork with preserved vege was rice stealing, the herbal chicken wasn't as strong tasting as I would like. That said the tofu and the cold dish set was quite good. The salad on the cold dish was yummy and we had to ask for more ginger slices for the century egg.

There's a remarkable restaurant in Pontian that has been serving exceptional Hainamese Chicken Rice with chicken rice balls, Braised Goose Feet with sea cucumber, Taro Dessert and Longevity Noodles since my grandparents' era. The food here is not only delicious but also reasonably priced. The restaurant boasts a comfortable environment with good service, and the staff and owner are notably friendly. Everyone who has dined here highly recommends it.
