My wife and I recently tried out this massage parlour, and while we went in with high expectations, the experience turned out to be below average — especially for the premium price tag of around RM400 for 90 minutes.

First impressions were great. The entrance, located on the first floor of a shoplot, gave off a premium vibe from the staircase alone. The staff welcomed us warmly, which instantly set the mood. That said, the first red flag came almost immediately. We asked for a Swedish massage, only to be told it was a “light massage for kids.” Honestly, I’ve never been to a premium massage place that puts a kids’ massage option front and centre on the menu. Instead, we were recommended the “Intuitive Wellness Massage,” which cost an additional RM50. Not wanting to argue, we agreed.

The consultation was a nice touch. We filled out a form, chose our preferred oil fragrance, and my wife was even advised (very thoughtfully) by the masseuse about oil safety since she’s still breastfeeding. Both of our therapists were Filipinas, and before starting, we were given a pleasant foot scrub and wash — again, a premium-feel gesture.

Things dipped after this point. We were separated into individual rooms (apparently no couple rooms available). The massage bed was spacious, comfortable, and even had heating — great setup. But when it came to the actual massage, things fell flat. Despite ticking “back focus” on my form, the back portion of my massage was the fastest I’ve ever experienced. The flow felt disjointed, like the therapist didn’t really know what she was doing. Instead of feeling relaxed, my mind kept wandering, thinking, “Is she just passing time?” For RM200 per person, that’s not what you want.

Sadly, my wife had a similar experience — so much so that she left with a headache instead of relief. At that point, we realised it wasn’t just bad luck with one masseuse.

I’m usually not the type to write bad reviews, but at this price point, I feel it’s only fair to be honest. The ambience, friendliness, and little premium touches were nice, but the massage itself — which should’ve been the highlight — was underwhelming and unworthy of the premium price. For RM400, we expected to walk away feeling renewed, but instead we left disappointed.

Went for my second visit and was quite disappointed this time. The masseuse kept pressing on the bones around my right shoulder blade, which was uncomfortable. She only worked on the right side of my neck and did a circling motion under the right ear, but didn’t do the same on the left side. The head massage also just felt like rubbing my scalp, not an actual massage. She also skipped the left shoulder blade area, so the technique felt inconsistent overall.

My shoulders were already sore to begin with, and I actually came home with more pain. Foot massage was alright, but the head, neck and shoulder massage really need improvement.

Superb spa. Staff are polite and welcoming, facilities are clean and masseuse is skilled. My masseuse was Jerra and she was very careful and consistent with her massage techniques. Bonus points because of heated bed and wide variety of aromatherapy options! Would recommend and come back.
