I enjoyed dinner at Commons, and it was an outstanding experience that merits a full 5 stars! The setting is elegant and cozy, providing the perfect atmosphere for a relaxing evening.

The service was impeccable, with staff member Gwen who were attentive and friendly, making sure our needs were met promptly and with a smile. The selection of teas was impressive, with a variety of options to suit every taste.

In summary, Commons offers a top-notch dinner experience that I highly recommend. It's the perfect place to unwind and indulge in some exquisite treats. I will definitely be returning soon!

We love the ambience and the food. Came here twice despite our short holiday as we are in love with the tiramisu with alcohol.

Strategic location and a very neat idea for converting the Old Court House into this cosy cafe.

So there are some meal dishes, some cakes, some snacks, some teas and drinks. There seem 2 types of cafes here and unfortunately, rarely do places nail the both...1. the ones with nice cool ambient spaces to sit and 2. the ones with really, really good food. This place seemed firmly in the former category. I came in the evening looking for dessert...they just had a bunch of cakes. So I decided to try something a bit more unusual: the Lemon Lamington. Have to say this cake was a disaster especially in structural integrity and texture(see pic). One needed two pieces of cutlery to scoop up all the crumbs😝. The flavour was also incredibly "meh" think slightly lemon acid buttery fruit cake sponge with crusty dry sugar crystal icing w dessicated coconut. Blergh. This cake just put me in a bad mood that no amount of cool smooth jazz can shake...I don't know if I want to come back now even though other things might be much more enjoyable. This cake contends highly to win top gong for worst things eaten in KCH, cake or otherwise. It would have brought me far more joy to throw that money down a wishing well🤣

For the nice location, position and aesthetic, this cafe definitely under punches. I was expecting a bit more. Underwhelmed and disappointed. Albeit you can't rate a place on a slice of cake but if it had been me managing, I would not allow something in that condition to still be up for sale...lest it ruin the reputation of my cafe for "having standards".

This was my first time hosting a birthday party at Commons, and I’m truly impressed! 🥰 The service was excellent the staff were incredibly patient and accommodating. I needed to come early to set up the decorations, and they were very understanding and helpful throughout the process. They made the whole party go smoothly.
Every staff member had a warm smile, which made the whole experience even better. The environment was clean, cozy, and welcoming. The food was delicious, and the prices were very reasonable.
Highly recommend Commons for gatherings. I’ll definitely be coming back. Thank you so much, Commons! 🎉❤️

A very nice place to stop for coffee and food! Beautiful old building, air conditioned and relaxing. Staff were very welcoming and friendly, coffee was good (flat white) and the food was very good. A bit more expensive relative to small local restaurants, but big portions, tasty and nicely presented, and currency conversion makes actually not that expensive really.

A beautiful restaurant with fancy meals that people with fortune will spend here at the most popular former courthouse in town. Once a while, we’ll come here and enjoy the finest meals with great quality.
I do enjoy all the food here with my family.
Great service.
Quite a clean spot, but bunch of mosquitoes at the outdoor dining. The best recommendation is to install mosquito repellent.
There’s no issues around this restaurant, it’s a great choice for those who don’t mind spending good money on fancy food, dessert and coffee.

Ordered the Redang nasi lemak, beef very tough, Don’t recommend. Chicken nasi lemak and Salmon burger are good. The cake is the BEST! Nice and comfortable place. Recommend to come try.

Llegamos a comer porque vimos que tenía buena pinta en Google y nos atendieron genial, fueron rápidos y la comida estaba muy buena. Tenían tanta variedad de tartas que te costaba elegir una. Al final probamos una de chocolate sin levadura y estaba bastante buena. Como nos quedamos con ganas de probar más volvimos por la noche a tomar el postre. Recomendable.
