I stayed at this hostel for three nights and had a very pleasant experience. Helga, the receptionist was fantastic, really friendly and very helpful with any questions, and nice to have a conversation with if you are just relaxing. The rooms are very basic but clean, though there was only one power socket. The toilets are also very clean and the shower was warm.||||They have a kitchen and utensils for cooking, as well as free tea and coffee. The breakfast was also very basic, but not much is expected for the price. There is also a roof top seating area and some good beer deals that we enjoyed sitting on during the evenings.||||As with many ultra cheap places there were a few shady characters staying there, however they never caused any problems or things to worry about. ||||The manager also let me keep my things in my room free of charge as I was leaving in the afternoon to the airport, which is much appreciated.

B&B Inn`s facilities are very basic and "tired" but it is close to the Waterfront area of Kuching, there are numerous local eateries nearby, the manageress is very helpful, ceiling fans and an open window are adequate, cheap ice-cold drinks are available, basic breakfast is included, there are many interesting cultural photos on the walls, there is a pleasant open rooftop area and it is a cheap stay. It cost me RM 66/$A 22 for three nights. Recommended if you are a backpacker or not expecting "a palace".

We stayed here for a week off and on, by which I mean that we took trips and could leave our big bags while away. It did state on a notice that there was a charge to leave bags but we were never charged, perhaps because of our longer stay and the fact that one of the trips was organised through them. That trip was to a longhouse which was not one of the ones that tourists normally go to, so If you want a good longhouse experience ask for a trip with Aba. We stayed one night in the longhouse. The staff are friendly and the girl on reception was particularly helpful. The double room we used had a fan and an air con which we only used (and paid 5 RM extra for) for 1 night as it wasn't really needed in October. We paid 40 RM a night for fan. Breakfast is included and was toast and jam or coconut honey (yummy). Tea and coffee available at all times. You can use the fridge and kitchen to prepare your own meals, which we did some of the time, but plenty of restaurants within walking distance, as is the rest of the town and river front and bus stops to other attractions/national parks. Transfers back to airport can be arranged.

Franchement, a notre arrivee devant l hotel, nous avons eu un peu peur. Rue bruyante, facade decrepie, immeuble "bunker'. ||Une fois a l interieur, bonne surprise. En effet, la plupart des chambres ont besoin d un coup de neuf, ce qui est en cours, plusieurs chambres ont ete refaites. Notre chambre n etait pas renovee, mais pour le prix, 35 RM, c est ce que nous attendions. Les SDB sont partagees, mais hyper propres, elles sont nettoyees au moins 4 fois par jour.||C est les parties communes de l hotel qui nous ont plu. Il possede une cuisine toute equipee ou il est possible de ce faire sa popote. Le bonheur pour nous qui n avions pas eu le plaisir de cuisiner depuis plus de 2 mois. Le petit dej est compris dans le prix de la chambre, et il est tres correct : pain de mie a volonte, confiture, margarine, the, cafe. Le the et cafe sont en self-service toute la journee.||Sur le toit, une terrasse est aménagée confortablement, ou nous avons passe du temps a siroter les bieres achetees a la reception, les moins cheres que nous ayons trouvees en Malaisie !||Le personnel a ete adorable, efficace, que des bonnes choses a dire a leur sujet. ||Et l emplacement super bien aussi, juste a cote d un supermarche tres bien fourni, a 5 minutes a pied de Chinatown et 10 minutes du centre ville.

Wij hebben hier 4dagen overnacht en is ons goed bevallen. Het is 6 min lopen tot aan de riverside en veel tentjes om te eten etc. De kamer is vrij klein maar schoon en het bed(2pers bed) lag comfortabel. We hadden onze eigen badkamer ook klein maar werkte prima incl warm water. De manager en werknemers zijn erg behulpzaam en vriendelijk wij zouden hier terug komen om te slapen!

Während unserer Zeit in Kuching haben wir im B&B Inn gewohnt. Das Doppelzimmer für 45 Ringgit (ca. 10 Euro) war sauber, gemütlich, mit Fenster, Ventilator und sogar einer Klimaanlage. In der Küche kann man sich jeder Zeit Kaffee oder Tee nehmen, mal wieder selbst kochen oder mit anderen Reisenden in Gespräch kommen. Auch die Bus oder Tour Informationen die man an der Rezeption bekommt sind super und die Touren meist etwas günstiger als in den umliegenden Reisebüros.

It was my first trip to Sarawak and Kuching and I was there for Kuching Marathon 2014. Stayed for 3N 4D through online bookings. Im grateful that i stayed there with a friend because it is kinda old and run down and quiet and hidden. Though the price was perfect for my budget trip. So here i list out a few things about this hostel:||||1. For each room, i was provided with a key to the room and a key to open the front door of the hostel. So if you lose it, must pay RM10 and you have to wait outside the buildings for the staff to pick you. Remember not to lose it after a night outing.||2. Towel is not provided so you must pay to use one.||3. The room is very basic, a bed with a blanket and a desk, no hangers and no mirror for lady (you can use the mirror in the bathroom). A fan and an aircon (pray that each of it is working).||4. I stayed on the 3rd level where there are 3 bathroom and 1 toilet. There are 3 single bedrooms and two hostel rooms on that level.||5. The front desk receptionist was friendly but available only on the days. The desk is closed at night.||6. There is a kitchen next to the bathroom; to Muslims I don't recommend to use the kitchen. No worry, the lodging is close to many great eatery places.||7. It is popular with western backpackers so most taxi drivers know about it.||8. 10-15 minutes walk to Plaza Merdeka and 5-7 minutes walk to the Waterfront.

1. The location itself is rather out-of-the-way than any other accommodations but in case if the taxi/Uber driver had no idea about the place, you just need to tell that it is on the same building with Borneo Hotel.||||2. Do not forget to tell the B&B's owner/staff what time will you be checking-in upon booking, be it late at night or else since the reception only opens from 7am until some time in the evening.||||3. You will need to pay a key deposit for MYR 5 for each night you stay. In my case, I stayed there for two nights and a MYR 10 was charged though upon check-out you will get the deposit back.||||4. Shuttle service in between Kuching International Airport and B&B Inn is provided but chargeable. It might be a little expensive unless you took Uber from the airport to the stay it only costs MYR 8, more or less.||||5. Booked for a double room with fan only which is MYR 40/night. However, upon check-in, opt for room with air-conditioning which is only MYR 45/night and was given a room with a double bed & two single bunk beds. This room is great for 4 persons, though for my friend & I (2 persons only) is way much greater.||||6. Do not forget adapter to charge your mobile devices since there is only one socket in each room (at least in the room we stayed).||||7. Blanket is provided upon check-in. The only unexpected thing is, for me at least, bath towel is not provided.||||8. There are 3 shared bathrooms on the 2nd floor, the floor we stayed in. Toilets are separated for gents and ladies, sadly only one for each. You strictly cannot take shower in the toilet since the toilet floor should be remained dry at all times. Also, tap water should be used sparingly.||||9. The kitchen area is not bad. Seems like almost everything you need is provided, for example the cooking utensils, refrigerator, water dispenser, coffee amenities etc.||||10. Do not forget to check the rooftop. Probably want to spend about MYR 5 for a can of Tiger beer (which you can buy at the reception) and enjoy them at the rooftop.||||11. Luggage storage is provided at the reception, chargeable MYR 2 for each bag.||||A good stay, after all!
