Lots of stairs but definitely a worth climb. Easy trail but wear proper shoes as it can be slippery. We went through Dark Trail with headlamps and at the end route met with En Sufian staff from Jabatan Perhutanan. He shares a lot of info about caves and forest in Sarawak. Tempting to try the summit trail next time but this requires permit and guide.

Like the name the size of this cave is amazing and magical. There are mix of everything if you come in. Steep hike and ladders, total dark area, tight space to go through, huge space like you can live in, bats and birds, forest view etc. Just make sure to reach each part of the route as its relatively easy hike.

仙洞是一個6樓高左右的巨大山洞。裡面的洞穴非常的巨大，深處有著許多的鐘乳石，其中有一個就像觀世音菩薩，很是神奇。洞穴非常的深。但裡面的空氣並不流通感覺很悶。不建議到深處的地方，洞內可看到螃蟹和金絲燕，還有一些植物，值得去走一走啊。但體力必須要夠好。

Le Fairy Caves sono delle grotte spettacolari che si trovano a pochi km da Kuching nel Borneo Malese. Luogo incantevole ricco di stalattiti e stalagmiti, casa di migliaia di piccoli pipistrelli ed una vegetazione unica. Un posto unico, un po’ umido ma decisamente ne vale la pena.

Fairy Cave di Bau, Sarawak merupakan antara destinasi pelancongan alam semula jadi yang cukup popular dan unik di negeri ini. Terletak kira-kira 8 kilometer dari pekan Bau dan sekitar 40 kilometer dari Kuching, gua ini menawarkan pengalaman yang menggabungkan keindahan alam semula jadi dengan nilai sejarah dan budaya tempatan. Nama "Fairy Cave" dikatakan berasal daripada formasi batu kapur yang kelihatan menyerupai bentuk dewi, memberi gua ini aura mistik yang menarik minat pengunjung. Untuk sampai ke dalam gua, pelawat perlu mendaki tangga konkrit yang agak curam, namun perjalanan itu berbaloi apabila disambut dengan pemandangan gua yang luas, tinggi dan dipenuhi dengan formasi stalaktit serta stalagmit yang memukau.

Selain keindahan geologi, Fairy Cave juga mempunyai nilai ekologi yang penting. Kawasan dalam gua ini menempatkan pelbagai spesies flora seperti pakis yang tumbuh subur di celah-celah batu, manakala cahaya semula jadi yang menembusi dari celah gua menambahkan suasana dramatik dan menenangkan. Dari aspek pelancongan, gua ini dilengkapi kemudahan asas seperti tangga, laluan selamat serta ruang untuk pengunjung berhenti berehat. Ia sering dikunjungi oleh pencinta alam, jurugambar, serta pelancong yang gemarkan aktiviti lasak seperti meneroka gua. Secara keseluruhannya, Fairy Cave bukan sahaja menjadi tarikan pelancongan berasaskan alam semula jadi, malah memperkayakan pengalaman pengunjung dengan keindahan landskap batu kapur yang berusia jutaan tahun, disertai suasana mistik yang menjadikan gua ini antara khazanah istimewa di Sarawak.

I highly recommend visiting the Fairy Caves in Sarawak. It's an incredible experience and easily one of the highlights of a trip to Kuching. The caves are truly breathtaking, with stunning formations, beautiful plants, and well-maintained paths.
The staff were also friendly and clear with their instructions, which made our visit smooth and enjoyable.
The entry fee is a very reasonable RM5 per adult. For children aged 6-17, the price is RM2, while children under 6 years old enter for free. This makes it an absolute bargain for families.
Do note that closed-toe shoes are required, but if you forget them, you can rent a pair for just RM3 at the entrance. Bringing some water is also a good idea. For those who want to explore the darker sections, a flashlight is handy and can be rented for about RM5.
Even if you have to drive a few hours to get there, it’s absolutely worth the effort. The climb can be a little bit challenging, especially in the humidity, but the reward is immense. We even did it with two toddlers, and they had a fantastic, adventurous time. It’s a must-see attraction for anyone visiting or living in the area.

My experience:
I was preparing for the place being dirty by the bat droppings but its fairly clean considering the amount of bats around the place. There are some water dripping from the ceiling but thats just adding to the cave experience.

What to expect:
Its very dark in the cave so bring a good torchlight. A lot of stairs and climbing so bring some drinking water. The ground might be very steep and slippery so get a pair of shoes with a good grip.

The place offers:
Good helpful staffs. Fairly clean paid toilets. Beautiful view. A convenient shop across the entrance. Renting shoes.

Nice cave to explore. Can be easily reach by car. Proper shoes, torchlight and a cap to protect from potential bat dropping. Lots of cave formation, river , bats
