実に、ついて初日は、スノーケリングに、ビーチの散歩が楽しく、提供されるマレーシア料理もなかなか美味しく大満足。
ただ前述にあった通りのことが私にも起こり痒くてしょうがない二日目を迎えた。
サンドフライに私は足全体、友人は腕全体。正直気が狂いそうだ。
虫除けに、長袖長ズボンは必至。油断しすぎた自分に反省し、ぐっと痒さを我慢しながらこのレビューを書いている。
後で聞くとサンドフライは日焼け止めが好物らしい。本当か否かは不確かだが、長袖長ズボンは念押ししとく。
部屋には非常時用にカップ麺を持ち込んでたが、夜中にねずみかな？何か侵入してごぞごそガリガリと開けてる音が聞こえてきて、怖くて眠れなかった。
次回は夕方と、宿泊を遠慮して日帰りで行きたいとおもう。
魚釣りはなかなか楽しめた様子。

A peaceful hidden gem. Low key, laid back relaxation. An island pace of life. Clean spacious and comfortable tent with a/c overnight and very comfortable king bed. Kids loved the night beach safari and (somewhat dated) pool table. Dinner was excellent and abundant, good variety mostly local and some western. The beach owned by the resort is very clean, but they don’t own the whole island.

The location is absolutely fantastic, tents are great, spacious, air-conned during afternoon and nights, and the staff is simple lovely. |First off: people are complaining about the little sand flies: yes they come and go but thankfully it is the twentieth century so good working products/repellants exist. So take it with you. |It is very secluded so you really feel like you are living in paradise, endless snorkeling directly from the beach, swimming, chilling, and above all: great food!||You can also go on snorkeling trips if you want to get away from the island, or do some stand up paddling or kayaking. We were here with a 8 & 10 year old and it was great fun. GO VISIT.

Lots of sand flies. We got so badly bitten that we are on steroid cream and antihistamines. The place was rat infested. We saw a dead rat on the ground and quickly notified the staff but it was still there after two days. Having read reviews about rats in the compound, we were really careful with food in the tent. We had a few unopened packets of snacks and coffee stored deep in our luggages and the rats bit through the bags and got to it. It was absolutely terrifying and we felt unsafe sleeping in the room.

Staff and food were good. But it didn't make it up for what we experienced. The management needs to do something about the rats. It's a safety issue and I would warn people to stay away from this place if this is not resolved.

The island is beautiful, the staffs were very helpful. We had a good time and I was confident in saying I'd be back.

But after getting back from the trip, and a few days later, we made a few discoveries that bothered us.

Firstly, it's the sandflies. There were lots of sandflies at the beach. While that didn't bother us too much while we were there, the bites started to itch a few days later. And it kept getting worse until we had to take medication. The whole thing lasted for more than 2 weeks and left us with tiny scars.

Secondly, we later discovered that packet foods, instant coffees and even luggage straps were bitten by something. I suspected they have a rat problem. We saw a couple rats running around while we were there.

I hope management can look into these. If not for these reasons, I really would love to visit again.

Delightful island, friendly staff, clean and excellent food…. Relaxing, with fun activities for kids allowing adults relax time ! |Accommodation in tents was great too, and comfortable. We had a lovely time and would recommend for a chill out and enjoyment of location !

Went for the day trip package, was about a 20 minute boatride from the jetty at Beringgis to the island. Location was good if you enjoy being away from the city as it was calmingly quiet. Package includes snorkeling, kayaking and paddleboarding. 8/10 experience. Great staff.

Una vergüenza de sitio. Lo único bueno son las tiendas de campaña y la comida, todo lo demás simplemente vergonzoso. La isla es un vertedero, todo lleno de basura y plásticos a niveles que es difícil de creer. En cuanto al personal, a nuestra llegada, y tras hacer un triste snorkel en una zona de coral muerto, se olvidaron de nosotros literalmente, supuestamente teníamos actividades durante el día para ver el atardecer y un safari nocturno, pero nadie nos dijo nada, ni mucho menos se preocuparon por nosotros, de hecho, solo vimos al personal durante las comidas, que por cierto estaban bastante ricas.

No se lo recomendaría a nadie. Es una vergüenza y más al precio que cobran la noche, obligándote además a comer su comida.
