Tucked away at the iconic Jubilee Car Park, an address that resonates with nostalgia among old-timers in Ipoh, a hidden gem quietly emerged at the tail end of 2023. An omakase-style cocktail bar that's been stirring up curiosity among discerning drinkers. Discreet and intimate, the bar’s low-profile facade belies the creativity that unfolds behind its counter.

Operated by a charismatic and genuinely friendly bartender, the experience here goes beyond the glass. With every new customer, he offers a thoughtful briefing on the menu carefully guiding them through a journey of cocktails that evolve from light and refreshing to bold and textural. True to the spirit of omakase, each cocktail is custom-tailored to the patron’s preference, mood, or even the evening's weather, making every visit a unique encounter.

However, no bar is without its growing pains. While the flavours are often well-balanced and delightful at first sip, there's one notable drawback: the ice. It appears they use regular chunk ice from a vendor instead of slow-melting, clear ice, causing drinks to dilute quicker than ideal. It’s a minor hiccup in what could otherwise be a stellar experience.

That said, the personalised service and the warm, inviting vibe make it worth returning, especially with good company. It may not yet be the pinnacle of cocktail craftsmanship in Ipoh, but it certainly adds a welcome dimension to the city's evolving bar scene. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

Definitely a worthwhile experience. I've never experienced a bar quite like it. The bar fit-out / decor is really unique and has a great feel.

The service is something very unique. All cocktails are basically custom made - there is no menu. The cocktails we got were superb. There is a single bar man who makes all the drinks, but he has a couple of assistants. The only drawback is it can take sometime to get your drink.

Overall, a great experience.

入門後見到店見到店主用類似戲劇性的肢體語言招呼客人，所以身為I人的我起初不太適應，但習慣就好了🤣
店內無餐牌供選擇飲料，會由店主問你幾條問題之後為你精心調配（當然亦可以提出喜愛的風味），對於選擇困難症重到患者表示十分之友好🙆🏻‍♂️
店內的裝潢十分有格調，每一杯調酒亦有一件小飾物伴杯，了解後才知道是店主親自從各地搜羅。
和朋友一行5人本身預計1小時內離開，但於熱情招待下最後比原定逗留時間超出一倍有多😂😂

費用50-60馬幣 /杯
味道，值得親自嘗試，調酒師能夠將你想要的風味突出呈現給你。

Place was very interestingly decorated as well. And instead of menus they gave us binoculars to look at what’s in the bar. Pretty cool.

Overall must try for the best cocktails. So surprising in little old Ipoh.

Tipsy Bar in Ipoh is a hidden gem! No menu, just tell the bartender what you like and they’ll whip up a cocktail that’s perfectly balanced and world-class. RM50 per drink, made to order with care. Super friendly and knowledgeable team… we had such a great chat. Definitely one of my new favorite bars! Whether you’re a cocktail connoisseur or just looking for a unique night out, Tipsy won’t disappoint.

It’s a cocktail omakase-style bar where the drinks are customized based on your preferences. Price ranges from MYR50 to MYR60. Most importantly is da mixologist Skyy Wong is absolutely GAOXIU & every drink comes with a little figurine that represents the story or history behind it...FUN experiences...GO GO GO 🍸🍸🍸

With heart and mind...Highly recommend this cocktail bar. No menu omakase style.
Skyy would guide you through questions and fun interaction. Then to introduce the tailor-made cocktail in details, how to appreciate and the twist.
It's an art, performance, learning experience and intellectual exchange.
Finishing with a shot feeling like a refreshing ritual.
And as you can see in the pictures and videos, many variety of high quality bottles, feeling in a mixology library.
Renovation and environment also very instagrammable.
