Over here its really brings back the nostalgia of Juara Village during the old days. Sure Mizani's place is one of the best Inn Keeper in Mentawak - Juara Village those day. Hence today visit to its Cafe is a tremendous pleasure.

Notre cantine lors de notre passage sur Tioman. Le coin est perdu et assez isolé, ce petit restaurant est une super alternative à celui du Barat resort juste à côté et environ 2 fois moins cher. Très bonne cuisine malaisienne assez épicée mais assez de choix pour trouver son bonheur. Omelette, pancake, noodles, fried rice, le tout excellent.
Si l avis vous est utile, un petit like fait toujours plaisir 🙂

There are 2 or 3 different groups of chalets in this area belonging to the same family (plus restaurants,bike renting),but with different managers. All basic and casual. I'll stay at Pondok next time. But I don't recommend the bungalow on the picture which although cheap is badly maintained inside.

We had the sotong goreng and veggie cooked in lemak(santan)
Both dishes was really goood! The lemak was so rich. The batter of the sotong was tasty.
However it took pretty long for the food to come even though we were the only ones there for lunch.
But they had a lot of cute cats there and there was a good view of the beach. Overall chill vibe
For 2 dishes, 2 rice and 2 drinks it came to a total of Rm50

This place is okay, but the quality is not stable. We came twice and order same dish of stir fried vegetables, however second plate is way too salty.

Also serving could be slow. We waited 40min for our dish to be served on first visit. Second one it is with normal time.

I’ll recommend fried rice/fried noodles. Tomato chicken tastes good, though it is actually like Thai sweet chilli sauce rather than tomato. Tomato omelette is good also.

DO NOT order coconut pancakes as it is just thick flour mixture without any coconut flavour.

Super cute place, I highly recommend! Finally a place with a little bit more of a vibe on this side of the beach: good chilled music and seating bags right on the beach. The people who work there are really friendly and ready to cook and mix up something special for you. We had a delicious burger and good prawn in coconut there... and yummy mocktails. Thanks a lot!
