Wir verbrachten 2 Nächte als Familie in diesem Dschungelcamp und fanden es wirklich ok. Die Zimmer/Hütten sind einfach, aber das sieht man auch auf den Fotos wenn man bucht. Die Klimaanlage hat funktioniert. Dafür ist das Camp etwas abseits des 'Zentrums' und man hat das Gefühl, tatsächlich im Dschungel zu wohnen. Der Ausblick von der Terrasse ist fantastisch! Allerdings ist 100 m hinter den Hütten Schluss mit der Romantik, der Regenwald wurde hier für eine neue Strasse gerodet...||Es waren nur wenige Gäste da, aber die Angestellten waren überaus freundlich und das Essen war gut! Die Kinder liebten das Flussufer um zu spielen und Dämme zu bauen. Der Nightwalk ist wirklich zu empfehlen. Der Guide zeigte uns am nächsten Tag noch die Hornbill-Vögel, welche weit oben in den Bäumen saßen und die wir sonst gar nicht gesehen hätten. Einzig mit den Boots-Abfahrtszeiten hat man es nicht so genau genommen, angeblich hatte der 'Fährmann' gerade Urlaub und die Vertretung war etwas unzuverlässig. Wenn man eine einfache Unterkunft nicht scheut und sich stattdessen an der Lage erfreut, eine preiswerte Alternative, auch für Familien.

Perhaps this place hasn't recovered from last year's flood... Had this place cost a similar amount to the bungalows in Kuala Tahan (with better amenities), our expectations would have been different. Resort prices without the resort experience. We were stranded in town, and had to wait 45 minutes for the Nusa van to pick us up. They didn't have our Agoda reservation. River View cabin with no window, air con dripped on our heads, fan only worked at 'tornado' speed. No choice for the breakfast. Mediocre restaurant, and you have to eat there or pay again to get to town, and no guarantee you could get back. No wifi whatsoever. We were under the mistaken impression that the daily rate included the boat trip into town, but at checkout we were presented with an additional bill for 5 ringgit for each person, each way, each day. Stay in Kuala Tahan for less than half the price. We moved to Mahseer Chalet and were much happier there. All that said, hike to Abai Falls starts here and was pretty cool.

We were so relieved arriving at the quiet, peaceful Nusa Camp after spending one night and one day in Kuala Tahan, a village overflowing with tourists. Nusa is located 15 minutes by boat to the north of Kuala Tahan (or 10 minutes by car) and it feels like you are in the middle of the jungle. |We shared a lovely, though basic, river-view cabin (don't forget your mosquito net!). The view from the restaurant was great and the staff was very welcoming and friendly! |During our stay the hotel owner arranged a private half-day river boat tour for the two of us. It is also possible to hike to the nearby Abai waterfall (+/- 3 hrs in total, no guide needed). This hike was beautiful and it was great not bouncing into groups of tourists which is the case on nearly all Kuala Tahan-based trails. |All in all, if you want to do more than just barely scratch the surface of the Taman Negara, as is the case in Kuala Tahan, I would definitely recommend a visit to Nusa Holiday Village!

We visited first in 2007. At that time more people stayed at Nusa. Access was only by boat. Now they built a road behind the "resort". Can be accessed by car now. In general staff is friendly, local guide experienced, our chalets simple yet clean. Seems like Nusa is catering more for a local Malaysian public now. The unique location of the resort upriver from the main vilage, view over the river, the gibbons calling from the other side of the river still made our stay worthwhile.

per raggiungere l'hotel, che è poco più di un campeggio arroccato sulle sponde del fiume, si deve prendere una tipica imbarcazione di legno e risalire delle piccole rapide e già questa prima fase è emozionante. Gli chalets in legno hanno una vista fantastica anche se all'interno cadono un pò a pezzi, se però si considera che si è al centro del più antico parco della Malesia direi che l'esperienza è unica. Il personale è molto gentile mentre per il cibo bisogna accontentarsi.||E' sicuramente una sistemazione spartana per gli amanti dell'avventura, ma a noi è piaciuta tantissimo.

I don't think we fully prepared ourselves for what would be sleeping in the heart of the jungle. Which, granted was our own fault. However, the level of standards at Nusa don't make the experience any easier either. ||||People have mentioned the unreliable boat service from Kuala Tahan. It didn't seem to have been made any better. Although, the owner did pick us up in a van from Kuala Tahan when we asked a tour operator to contact Nusa, which was around 4pm. The boat service from Nusa to Kuala Tahan is not regular and only really reliable when you ask at the Nusa reception. ||||The rooms are very overpriced for what they are. We had booked a garden view room, which is a strange choice of name as there were no windows in the chalet so didn't really have a view! The rooms do not reflect the website photographs, we had minons themed sheets which did not feel/smell fresh. The toilet/shower room was unclean with dirt marks around the sink and smelt of sewage. The mosquito screens around all the chalet walls were incomplete and had holes in. As did most of the chalet and we were introduced to the other residence of the chalet (reptiles and rodents). We did then 'upgrade' our room to a family cottage which didn't seem much better. The room had holes in the ceiling, a very unclean bathroom (hair in the sink and bugs splattered on the walls.)||||We did enjoy the food at the restaurant but it continuously had staff members crowded around the TV which made you feel like you were encroaching. The restaurant doesn't serve alcohol, which isn't too painful! However, the last boat from Kuala Tehan is supposed to be at 6pm it leaves a lot of time bumbling about with nothing to do at Nusa. ||||It's a shame that we came away with this experience as the Nusa could be an amazing destination! ||||If you stay, don't forget: DEET spray (before bed too), camera (the sunrise was beautiful) and playing cards (to keep busy in the evening.)

We loved it here. The huts are basic but have all you need, even airco. I recommend you bring a mosquito net, we did and it made a difference. Waking up in the morning at the river in the middle of the jungle is priceless. And you can swim in the river.|Contrary to other information, there is no boat to Nusa but you can get a ride through the Nusa office in town. And even though it’s isolated, they van taxi you to and fro anytime. The manager speaks English and can arrange all kinds of trips for you. The kitchen is great and the rest off the staff also speak English and are very helpfull. We celebrated Eid there with them and they treated us as family. Just before we left, we lost our car key and they turned the place upside down with the whole staff to find it (which they miraculously did).

Nous avons séjourné trois jours dans un chalet au milieu de la jungle.Nous avons apprécié le son des oiseaux, l' emplacement magnifique, l'immersion au coeur de la jungle, les déplacements en pirogue pour se rendre au village le plus prohe..Sans parler de l'accueil, la gentillesse et générosité de nos hôtes, leur invitation à nous faire gouter des mets délicieux et participer aux fêtes du Ramadan, leur disponibilité totale et leur engagement à lutter contre la déforestation abusive. Je recommnde chaleureusement!
