A Bentong local brought me here for lunch. It’s a family set up . There are no place to park and its very hot. The thing is, the food is fresh and tasty. They even have their home brew drinks. Will not find this in the KL city. Will recommend if u are around this area

You must try the catfish and potatoes leaf. The service is quite fast for ordering . The atmosphere have limited tables and chairs. Should visit this place but it is hidden in private estate. RM73 for fish

Possibly the only chinese 'dai chow' in the lurah bilut area of bentong-raub, which has an extreme park and a number of eco resorts and durian farms nearby. Restaurant is tucked away in a modern new village. Tried their signature tapah fish steamed and drizzled with light soya sauce and fried shallots in oil - massive chunk, simply wonderful. Also had spring onion fried with oyster mushrooms and a stir fried vegetable.

All About Pahang - Bentong

Those who are truly food hunters will know about this restaurant hidden deep inside Lurah Bilut, once a palm oil plantation located in between Raub & Bentong. Well it used to operate from a dilapidated wooden hut quite near to the junction turning into Lurah Bilut but they have since moved deeper into the village.

For the uninitiated, Poh Hin was famous for its exotic meat in the past. As a matter of fact they still serve some of the meats that we do not usually consume - for example bamboo rats, anyone?

However, they are also quite good in river fish, tin kai (frog), wild boar, etc - apart from the regular dai chow dishes. Come at the wrong time ie. packed or full house and the waiting time can be excruciatingly long & painful as I'd experienced once.

◾steamed ikan tapah - good thing is that they do not require you to take whole or at least half the fish. Since it was two of us, they steamed two pieces of the fillet for us. Perfect timing with awesome soy sauce and fried shallots.
◾steamed 'tin kai' (frog) with minced ginger - one of their signatures is actually steamed tin kai with vermicelli but we asked them to omit the meehoon. The soup was lovely to drink on its own.
◾curry wild boar - one of the better wild boar curry I had so far. The meat texture was tougher compares to regular pork because the wild boar exercises a lot.
◾stir fried oyster mushrooms with dried shrimps, chilly and spring onion made a good vegetable dish (if you can call that).

It's a good idea to call to see if they are opened as to avoid disappointment having to drive all the way.

名字是茶室,其实也是当地唯一一间大炒店,位置处于文冬和劳勿之间的美律谷。
以前在旧店时,这里的招牌菜就有>>自制福建面,田鸡米,自制伊面和炆水鱼。后来听说搬到新店后,水准有所下降！后来在网上看到好像开始又有好评了,于是再来吃吃看,结果却令人有少许失望。😓
自制福建面>>还可以吃,但和传统的猪油香福建面味道却不一样了！
田鸡米>>失望,除了吃到姜辣味外,什么都吃不到,而且田鸡肉比较小只,没什么肉😓
炆水鱼>>还可以！但没什么特出和卖点。
清蒸白须公>>酱汁味道还是不错吃的,但鱼却蒸得有些老了😓
看了网上推荐,却和自己的口味有所出入,于是就问了当地朋友意见,確实是退步了！
