A very charming and slightly hidden gem of a bar.
I truly appreciated the unique vibe and decor, it beautifully captures an old school Chinese aesthetic that’s reflected not just in the atmosphere, but in the drinks as well.

Their cocktail menu is creative and full of thoughtful twists, which made the experience all the more enjoyable.
To top it off, there was a live band playing that night and they were absolutely top notch.

Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys a well crafted drink in a place with character and pleasant atmosphere.

Really great bar. A little bit expensive (120RM for two cocktails), but surely worth it. The spot is well decorated, very unique, and the atmosphere is awesome. They have live shows all night and the singers are very good. 5 star bar!

Having looked at reviews I really wanted to try this place. The styling is great. The LIVE band were good. The service was ok…not great. This is not entirely negative because it wasn’t bad however the kind of place it is trying to be means in my opinion the service could be better. It has so much potential. The cocktail menu is presented very well unfortunately the cocktails in my opinion were not great. The menu suggests that the mixology is going to give your taste buds a treat but they were poor. For a bar like this the cocktails should be the star of the show but unfortunately they were underwhelming. Very disappointed. Has so much potential. I would recommend trying it for yourself. I also ordered food, the pork bun which was awesome and very tasty alongside the chilli sauce. In total I ordered 3 cocktails (one whiskey based and two gin based) and a beer. The vibe here is great.

- elixir of youth: love it! Tea-like alcohol that is light and pleasant to drink. Towards the end of the pot, it gets kinda fizzy for some reason which makes it really fun to drink 😆
- concubine something (forgot the name): this one however was not that impressive, it was more like having juice.

Staff is REALLY attentive when we were here on a Sunday night - they look at you time to time just in case you want something, props for doing that.

Atmosphere - there was a live band when we were there, really talented. Crowds can submit song requests. Not too loud, you’re still able to hear and talk to each other and spend some quality time 🙂

Went to Manchu Bar on a Thursday night and Friday night. They had different live bands performing for each day. The bands are open to song dedication/selection, though more Chinese songs orientated (granted the singers are usually malaysian Chinese), they would occasionally sing popular English pop songs as well.

Vibe was great and atmosphere was refreshing. Waitresses and waiter is attentive and friendly.

The only downside probably was the food selections, only finger food is available and they do not serve full set meals.

Would recommend for people who enjoys live bands and a chill night out.

One of the speakeasy bar in Georgetown. Chill environment with nice vintage setting. Many choices of cocktails and come in unique presentation. And live band singing both English and Mandarin pop songs.
