We tried OS family food several times on their invitation. Their foods are awesome, there's a blend of Malay and Arabic in their cuisine. The Samosa or Sembosa they make is completely different from the ones available in market. It's simple but it's delicious. All other foods they prepare are really good, there's a touch of heart in cooking. Definitely, the cooking class conducted by them would be great for a learner.

One of the best decisions I made while in Malacca was to take the cooking class offered by the Os family. Far from the crowds in the historic district and the Riverwalk, I was able to experience a more intimate,more Malaysian time in the Os family home. During the morning I learned to cook 7 dishes. This means that Mr. Os's wife, who is the instructor, is well organized. Some of the ingredients are peeled, cut, and put into little bowls prior to the class. However there are many opportunities to cut, chop and stir. The sequence of preparation is well thought out so that while one dish is simmering on the stove, the next is being prepared. I had asked that instruction be given in Malay so that I could practise however both are fully fluent in English. Once all was done we sat down to a bountiful and delicious mid day meal. I returned to my hotel with leftovers and recipes.

I love this foodhouse, the family is very kind and their cooking is absolutely wonderful! I love Malaysia for this kind of food with high quality of ingredients and a lot of taste! If.i return to Meleka i will go there!

We stayed at one of Os's flats, did some touring around Melaka with Os and did his cooking class. All were excellent , there is a website for the bits of the cooking class you miss.

We stay 1 week at Food Tourism House. Very clean and quiet place, We enjoyed the swimming pool, the kitchen and the hospitality. Bikes available for guest to move around...

Its not like ordinary homestay. You'll feel like home. Very welcoming. Great wifi with clean accommodation. They also provide cooking class and home dining.

Super séjour, très bon accueil de la part de cette famille très gentil. Maison très propre grande et agréable. On se sent vite chez soi.
