We missed our flight due to a last-minute gate change announced by AirAsia just 20 minutes before takeoff. Since the next available flight was 36 hours later, we were left stranded at KLIA Terminal 2, completely stressed out and exhausted — especially with a toddler and all our luggage.

Thankfully, we found Summer Summer Hotel on Level 3 of the same terminal, right next to the food court. It was honestly a lifesaver during a very difficult time.

The rooms are quite small, but they’re clean, well-maintained, and equipped with everything you need — a comfortable bed, clean pillows, private bathroom, small wardrobe, TV, tea-making station, makeup area, slippers, and more. Despite the compact space, it had all the essentials and felt cozy.

The prices are a bit on the higher side, but considering the convenience and location (right inside the terminal), it was totally worth it for us. While they officially offer 6-hour and 12-hour stays, you can ask at the counter for a 24-hour option if they have availability — and you may even be able to negotiate a better rate.

If you ever find yourself stuck at KLIA Terminal 2, especially with a long layover or missed flight, I highly recommend Summer Summer Hotel. It really helped us through a tough situation.

A lounge at KLIA 2, accessible before the check-in process. It offers the usual 3-hour access like other lounges. While not very spacious, it’s comfortable and adequate. However, there are some drawbacks — no washrooms within the lounge, and only local bank cards are accepted. Fortunately, Priority Pass and Dream Folks cards are valid here. Thankfully, my Niyo Card lounge pass also worked. Wine is chargeable, but beer is complimentary. The food is good, and the staff is courteous.

I called and double double confirmed whether there is shower facility at the lounge before immigration at KLIA 2. And all the answers I received is a confident yes. When the actual day I went down, they told me there is no shower facility. only public toilet have. And after I found out is because the staff misunderstood that the one with shower facility is KLIA 1. Oh My Word! And the just put up my call without even an apology!

비행기지연으로 급하게 잡은 객실인데 터미널내에 있어서 일찍 들어갈수 없었음.
입국심사 하고 들어가야해서 안들여 보내줌 .몇시간이라도 눈붙이고 나오려했는데 방음이 전혀안됨 .살다살다 이런곳 처음 봤음.환승 하는사람은 편할수도 있음 .입국장 바로 안쪽에 있으니 .

Fit for purpose. Queen bed can fit only 2 adults on it. So if you go with a kid, better take 2 beds

Good layover hotel in KLIA 2, no immigration no customs no worries. Easy and simple if you have a long layover in KL, beds good the shower is great. A mix of food on offer and a great breakfast at the hotel. A short convenient walk to the boarding gates after a lovely sleep.

This hotel is not allow to check in as normal time. It’s only for foreigners! The hotel Inside the international terminal ~ only allowed go in before 4 hours flight. No one pick up the phone, when I’m call them and it’s unable to refund!!!!! Damn just don’t book

I had a recent surgery and was in a wheelchair when I arrived to the hotel and had very limited mobility. The staff were so accomodating and kind, and willing to make adjustments to ensure I was both safe and comfortable. Due to not being able to walk out into the buffet, management arranged for room service. I would like to commend Tachaini for the wonderful room service and food provided. I was very well looked after and very happy with my stay.
