Atmosphere is fine but the cost of the food is towards the premium side. I don’t find the food match to the price expectation. The cod fish is a little overcooked & not that fresh. The veggie & mushroom is quite oily. The appetizer was 2pcs of scallop which I don’t find it great either. So in my opinion the price is on the higher side which doesn’t the food doesn’t taste as premium as the price should be. Is just edible.

A place with wonderful atmosphere to catch up with family and friends over nice dinner. Nice and cosy place to have a great time of bonding. There is a wide selection of western food available. They serve wonderful wines too. Up to you to select your preference.

I found it to be a decent experience overall. The ambiance of the restaurant is pleasant, with a cozy and inviting atmosphere perfect for a casual meal or a night out. The menu offers a variety of options, from classic dishes to more innovative creations, and the wine selection is respectable.

However, while the food was tasty, it didn't quite meet the expectations set by the restaurant's upscale ambiance. Some dishes lacked the wow factor expected at this price point, and the presentation could have been more refined.

Additionally, the service was adequate but could have been more attentive and proactive in catering to diners' needs.

Overall, The Penthouse & Winebar is a decent choice for a meal in Subang Jaya, but there is room for improvement in terms of food quality and service to elevate it to a truly exceptional dining experience.

It's a place that I'd consider as sufficient, but not outstanding. It's more like a neighborhood bar, than an upscale steakhouse. I'd come here for after work drinks, or a team gathering, but that's about it. From the printed menus to the ordering experience, and the way the food is served, it's sufficient. Steak looks good, pasta looks good, and all the other items all look sufficiently good. But once again, I wouldn't travel out of my way, to get to this place.

For the Christmas Day lunch gathering, we revisited The Penthouse for lunch and ordered the two different Merry Christmas sets, selecting the Australian Angus Sirloin (250g) Fresh Oyster option for Set 1 and the Baked Atlantic Cod Fish, Smoked Samond Tartarte, and Lobster Bisque option for Set 2. Also included in the Sets is Chocolate Mousse Cake. The food was nice and tasty, but the wait was rather long The knives would need replacing, since they were not sufficiently sharp to cut the beef. The bill came to RM1,076.70 for the five of us.

There is free valet parking. Just park ur car in front (double park) and there will be foreign worker help u to find parking.
I tried wagyu MB7 (RM298) during last visit, without having their "B1F1 wagyu promotion when purchase 1 bottle wine", and it was superb! But sadly when I tried again the same wagyu yesterday with promotion, the wagyu texture is not as expected. A lot beef tendon which unable to chew.
Portobello mushroom (RM30) is a must to order. It's taste so good!!
Service is fast and staff is attentive.
There is always weird smell (not sure is it detergent smell) when I step into the restaurant.
Surprisingly upstairs seating is smoking area (not open air at all)
