5/5
1. Food
My first visit, I ordered their homemade pesto pasta, which featured a blend of basil, arugula, nuts, and Parmesan cheese. The pasta was slightly al dente, giving it a pleasant bite. Although the ratio of ingredients was a bit off—there wasn’t enough Parmesan, and the finely chopped nuts failed to add brightness—the dish was still delicious. The pesto had a vibrant, herbaceous flavor dominated by basil, balanced by pungent garlic and a harmony from olive oil.
On my second visit, I added chicken breast to the same dish. Unfortunately, the four thin slices weren’t worth the additional price. While the chicken was tasty, it was slightly dry and disappointingly small in portion. Honestly, the pasta was good enough on its own without the add-on.
2. Service
I appreciate that the menu is displayed in front of the store, allowing time to browse and decide before committing to enter and order. The absence of pressure to order felt refreshing. The staff were friendly, although the cashier was multitasking by handling meal prep behind the counter, which could slow down the process. Nonetheless, the overall experience was smooth.
The food took around 10 minutes to arrive at my table, a reasonable wait if they’re preparing it fresh (fingers crossed they’re not using precooked pasta or store-bought pesto).
3. Atmosphere
The dining area was clean and spacious, making it comfortable for dining or even casual meetings. With over 10 tables (a mix of two-seaters, four-seaters, six-seaters and even cozy sofa seating), it struck a good balance between accommodating diners and maintaining an open, airy vibe. The background music wasn’t classical but was played at a low volume, making it easy to focus on work or conversations without interruptions.
4. Price
The breakfast set seemed pricey, so I opted for a heavier meal instead. The pesto pasta was reasonably priced, but the chicken breast add-on felt unjustifiable given its small portion. Honestly, the pasta stands well enough on its own.
5. Payment
Debit and QR code payments (DuitNow, TnG, etc.) are available, though I’m unsure if cash payments are accepted.
Overall
This was an enjoyable meal in a decent space for both dining and productivity. I’d definitely return for that light yet flavorful pesto pasta
