A must visit in Ipoh. This place is a very informative museum about Ipoh's Tin mining history and way of life in the 1950s. There is also a section on Baba Nyonya/Straits Chinese which was more informative than some places in Penang and Melaka! The interior is well-preserved and exhibitions are thoughtfully curated. I reccomend listening to the audio guide as it gives a little more information than the plaque cards dotted around the museum. Staff are really lovely too! Entrance fees were RM15 for the audio guided tour - it was worth every penny.

小而精緻的私人博物館，保存了舊怡保的生活風貌，宛如走進時光膠囊，這麼好的地方居然沒有爆火，實在是可惜，值得大力推薦！

It’s a very nice and well maintained space with lots of photo opportunities. The audio guide is clear and easy to use too

And the souvenir shop is 5 stars! There’s a lot of reasonably priced unique finds made by social organizations. Shopping for a good cause

这是一间民办小型博物馆,入门票是一人马币十五元,这里主要分成三大展示主题,大亨馆,峇峇娘惹和怡保五十年代。
大亨馆顾名思义就是怡保早期的富人相关的家居摆饰和人物介绍。
峇峇娘惹的展示物品很丰富,可以说包含了峇峇娘惹的日常生活或节日的所有的东西。
怡保五十年代就是展示五十年代怡保的各行各业。
个人是非常常喜欢这间小型博物馆的,因为是面的藏品非常丰富。
另外这里的厕所也很有特色!

A museum, art gallery and gift store at a corner in the heart of Ipoh. There’s a painting exhibition the day we visit. The receptionist is friendly and welcoming. We got a wonderful postcard and some special stamps. Wish to see more old buildings get resurrected like 22 Hale street.

I love the passion and friendliness of the malay receptionist who briefly introduced us about the museum and the meaning for each stamping.

Brought one postcard at the art shop which showed 22 Hale Street in drawing.
